Supercut of comedy legend Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes Apologies for the audio segments, NBC is cucking everyone at the moment. Will reupload with full video once possible. Subscribe for more comedy content!
@ricky gervais. I read average of 18.3 M viewers - solid numbers. I would like to know though what the numbers are for those who watched afterward. If it’s anyone like me, who’s on the other side of the world and only watch the recordings, because I’m asleep when it’s live, I think there would be more. I also the think most people watch only for the monologue and the reaction to that continued for several days. Good days.
I like Ricky because you can tell he doesn’t dislike these people personally, but is simultaneously disgusted by what Hollywood/the entertainment industry has become and represents.
just his "I had a penis reduction...it's tiny now...so are my hands so it looks quite big. let's face it.mostly it's only my hands anyway.Actually I rather would do it now than beeing here is a fine opening punchline in my humble opinion...
Lol ppl are so easily fooled. The longer he hosted the more he realized the people loved him roasting the celebs. Hence the reason he gets more savage with each show. Dont make the mistake that hes any different from the rich mostly white celebs hes roasting.
To be fair, they give him better reasons every year to. I mean we went from alcoholism and plastic surgery jokes to sexual harrasment and rape to pedophiles and human trafficking...
@@antonelabakavic4045 Yeah, he felt like he held back a lot in 2020. And the fact that he never mentions Karl or Stephen anymore is pretty sad. He's obviously trying to rub shoulders and build his career back up at the expense of his trademark 'commonness'.
2009: Here now ladies and gentlemen from Desperate Housewives Felicity Huffman. 2020: I came here in a limo tonight and the license plate was made by Felicity Huffman.
@@cridler2 Gervais made fun of Felicity Huffman in 2009, cut to 2020 when she was imprisoned for bribing college officials to get her low-IQ offspring into school.
I love everyone’s faces. You get a great look at who has a sense of humor and who doesn’t. I also love the actors who try so hard not to laugh. Always loved Ricky.
I love how he is making the actors' night here so much more tense. Knocking them back down to human. Accentuating their flaws when they live in a realm of yes-people. Thanks Ricky 😂
His Tim Allen joke's probably my favourite out of these. The way he turns the card over before reading out his name is such a simple touch, but it adds so much to the effect.
@@71hammyman fully agree with you dude. Just the other day someone got so triggered on me because I made a joke about trans people that they threatened to kill me, IRL too. People just can't take anything besides knock knock jokes these days.
I totally agree. I value freedom of speech very highly. I think with humour it’s either ALL ok or NONE of it is ok, same with language. It is all in how you use it, and obviously its freedom shouldn’t mean freedom of consequence and people disagreeing but your right to say it remains. I am disabled and have a number of conditions. My boyfriend calls me sicknote, a speccy/four eyed cunt (we both wear glasses and his are way thicker lol) I have epilepsy and Tourette’s syndrome, he’ll call me twitch. Me and my friends regularly laugh at my tics. Does it suck having Tourette’s? Absolutely! But who is the world to question what I can and can’t say about my own condition? Laughing at it when it’s funny is freeing and helps me cope. It’s all about intention. I was on the radio and asked love what I thought about a joke at the Edinburgh Festival about Tourette’s that was controversial. It was along the lines of it can’t stop shouting about cauliflowers. I think I have florets syndrome.’ I said it didn’t offend me at all, just didn’t think it was super funny. I offered one a bit more anecdotally that Tourette’s makes you suck at certain games like charades. I just go up look at the card and shout ‘JAWS’ and that’s my turn done. They obviously wanted an outraged reaction. Sorry to tell you my life story lol 😂 I’m not saying everyone has to like these jokes. It’s ok to feel offended and not try to cancel someone and just accept that’s not for you I dunno
I love the fact the there are a few bunch of people that are actually taking this as a joke. Steve Carell is trying so hard not to laugh, same goes for Leo Scorsese and some others
Leo Scorsese hmm I saw Leonardo DiCaprio laugh when he made the joke about his younger girlfriend and Martin scoesasee was shaking his head in agreement but Ricky jervis didn't say anything about negative about him even called him the best Hollywood right now
There are a lot of funny comedians and hilarious stand ups / bits. But what makes a comedian truly GREAT is telling the truth. This is what I like about Gervais. He seems sane, rational and unapologetic, like George Carlin was.
@@Stalemate1982 Stanhope is one of the best ever, an underappreciated legend who's name belongs among the company you included him with there I think, even if for different reasons than the other two. He was always meant to be underappreciated though, it's just the way it's gotta be, because so many people have no chance of not being offended, even revolted by what gets unleashed when someone truly just gives zero fucks to that level. The material in Deadbeat Hero never gets old to me.
@@Stalemate1982 Stanhope is such an underappreciated legend, but that's just the way it has to be, considering his level of fucks given is at absolute zero.
@@jl1998ch Eventually we make up our own minds. ;) I'm not a christian because my forebears were/are, I'm a christian because around the age of 16 I made up my mind about what I believe and what I don't. That said, I'm sure there are plenty who only believe something because they grew up in it, but, even then, eventually people should start thinking for themselves, and if they don't, well, they made that choice as well. Have a nice day. :)
@@badtoxxin7909 not really. his hosting just proved his materials are just him making racist jokes about Filipinos, their lifestyle, his son's masturbating and pubic hair and making fun of his mom's accent. also, blaming your writers on stage is just so unprofessional. if he wasn't ready because of the short booking and greedy, he wouldn't have made excuses.
He's so good at making the entire room uncomfortable LMAO... His sarcasm on how actors are so great and add so much to the world lol.... He dragged it on perfectly.
Justinian the Great God saved the queen in ww1 and 2? First off, which queen? If it’s England, they had kings. And how exactly did god save anyone? By starting the wars or what?
@@Nohiro.3D everyone knows the bible is BS, as for GOD, OR A HIGHER POWER. No one knows a damn thing! Understand this, NO ONE KNOWS A DAMN THING! Not one person knows if a god exists! NOT ONE!
Thanks for compiling this. Gervais is genius, his writing, attitude, his act, his timing, and the massive golden balls he must have to say the stuff he does in front of such a stuck-up audience as the Golden Globes presents him with. He's an inspiration.
@@julianmuller9567 I guess. I don't know. I usually don't watch award shows. I watched this one because of Ricky. I found it hilarious but people on the internet attacked him for being hypocrite and stuff. I don't think they watch the whole thing and even if they do, I don't think they understand what he meant. I hope he hosts next year too.
True. Ricky gervais is left wing. He wasn’t disagreeing with them, he was saying that they had no position as they don’t commit to any action, just ‘awareness’
@@wendywinger7169 I think that's more telling of the age we live in and the levels of bullshit we're dealing with every day. He cuts right through all of it
this is still one the best things I've ever seen, this industry is so horrible and fake and he kept it so real and uncensored and hilarious. Idk if were ever gonna get something on this level at an award show again
Love that he’s now legendary after that power punching hosting he did at the Golden Globes 2020 show. It was so powerful that there are now all of these montage videos on him. He said what the masses are thinking about how out of control these elite actors have become.
4 года назад
He was already legendary after hosting the 4 others
He's a genius! I think he took this year's job to host because he's fed up and wanted to say what everyone who doesn't have the position to say he said it. I've been a fan of his since the original Office was coming out with new episodes. I don't agree with all his views. But I love his open mind and confidence. Kudos to him for speaking out against oversensitive nonsense.
You dolt, this is hell. He would have been reborn, to do it all over again. But I wonder in his case, I do not know. He did maintain a piece of the narrative, but battled the rest; he did more good than harm. Uncertain.
5:55 I just realized that Felicity Huffmann coming on stage right after the 'golden globes cant be bought' is so much funnier now that she basically bought her kids their college admission
It wouldn’t have the same impact as it is larger it lacks the ‘intimacy’ of the Beverly Hills hotel. The GGs with Ricky is more of a quasi roasting event then an award show.
I gain more respect for the actors who can laugh at themselves when targeted directly and still have a good time because it's just a laugh - the ones who just get angry take themselves far too seriously
KieranFuller17 Amazing that part. I read an interview where Tim Allen said ‘I didn’t get the joke I was waiting for the punchline but it never came’ and apparently Hanks didn’t either. Shows how dead their sense of humour is.
Aryan Gupta The joke is because she’s the Goodwill ambassador for UNHCR and 3 out of her 6 kids are adopted and one 2 of the adopted kids are from Asia: Maddox and Pax. The baby girl Zahara is adopted from Africa.
Most people would be nervous hosting this, especially for the first time. But within 2:30 minutes of his very first stint hosting the Golden Globes he is ripping them apart. He literally doesn't care and he has genuine contempt for Hollywood. Legend
The man is just brilliant. This stuff is still as fresh in 2022. He's a natural comic with that wonderful sense of using cutting, acerbic humour which goes right to the edge. Many of those celebs weren't sure whether to laugh, wince, fume or walk out.
Man I'd love to see Ricky host the next Golden Globes, I doubt they'll bring him back after 2020's viral speeches!!🤣 I didn't know he called out so many celebs in the other globes he hosted, I'll be sharing this video for sure!❤
Well done good sir. This is exactly what I wanted. I thought to myself, some thoughtful guy will have put it up on RU-vid no doubt and here you are. Cheers bud.
