Agreed. They definitely put in the work and time but it would be cool to see them spend a season or even a month or two going around hunting public. Giants get killed on public every year but the difference is on public it usually takes a local that knows the are and know how to hunt the area.
I think that if you, drew, kendall, and jay went in together on some land or a lease and did some land management and done some hunting on it that it would be pretty cool. Either way, ya’ll have the best hunting page out there and I truly enjoy watching and learning from ya’ll.
Go find a mentee and teach them what you know (hunting, life, and Jesus). Record the experience and post it as a side series to the pure hunting videos. You might find yourself a new passion in mentorship.
Dude...that tall building in the background, I was able to find the spot in 5 minutes. Never been to that city...heck, I live in Florida. Maybe I was just lucky, but being a bowhunter and a geography nerd, I love cyber-scouting. If you ever need a geo-detective assist in the future Lee, let me know. 😂 Great story...your level of dedication (and respect for the animal, and the sport) is unmatched. Congrats!
I would love to see you guys get involved in a lease or buy land to start property management. There aren’t many guys doing something like that in the suburban game or if you went more rural it’s always cool to see how much you can transform a property for hunting. Love the podcasts and you guys are banner role models for me and everyone else.
Literally 4 days ago I’m driving down the road talking with god, and I get the feeling I’m supposed to call someone and tell them” Keep doing what your doing” At the time I had no idea what that meant or who I was supposed to call. Now I know exactly what it means. KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING!
Love the suburban stuff, so different than what a lot of people get to see in the Midwest but would be great to see you Lease or purchase a farm and transform it into a whitetail heaven with the resources you have.
I don’t know if there is a channel on RU-vid that does it better! What do I want to see more of? Just hunt! No matter if it’s a big private farm, suburbs, or public land the stories y’all tell are absolutely sensational! Thank you for the content y’all put out!
Keep doin what you guys do. Love the content of urban hunting and you portray it well. Definitely set some time to break up the stressful urban stuff with “fun hunts”. Love your videos and keep them coming.
Hey Lee, I am a physician. What you are experiencing is called post traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. It is a mental and behavioral disturbance that develops from experiencing a traumatic event: like you seeing a dead/decomposing body, threats on your life, and well-being. It can be especially tough when you experience interpersonal violence like kidnapping. It is often described as including disturbing thoughts, feelings, dreams, mental distress, and can lead to attempts to avoid normal relationships, alterations in the way you think and feel, and fight or flight response. Lee, you need a break, you need rest, and you need to talk through this with someone who can help you, a counselor. Ok? Just remember who you are, and WHOSE you are: you are a child of the King, buddy. John 1:12. I am pulling for you!
What i would enjoy most is watching purchase or lease land and build habitat and manage the land. That’s more of a challenge than anything you’ve done and the payoff is insane
I feel ya on the stress of " city" hunting. My husband did what You guys do but up in Charlotte. He got tired of the stress, harrassment, and competition. The next page for You guys may be leasing, land management, and what all goes with it. Theres no better story than the city deer. Finding access, cameras, scouting, and just all of the excitement wont ever be beat as far as excited/entertainment goes. we have crazy stories hunting backyard bucks stretching back to the mid 90's. All around charlotte. Most places we hunted are now developed but we notice nooks and crannies when we visit the area. Sure that success awaits regardless the direction You take seek one. We sure enjoy watching yoir videos! They are great!
This podcast tells the real story about how much time, money, and effort you boys put into getting a chance at some of the giant deer y’all hunt. Some of the haters and cry babies don’t realize what it takes or what all you have to go through to be able to hunt them. This podcast details all the hard work and effort that goes into hunting these giant urban bucks and proves that you don’t just walk out there and shoot them. Congratulations on getting “Kimbo” The buck of a lifetime Lee!!! 🎉🎉🎉 ROLL TIDE ROLL MY FRIEND!
There’s a lot of chanel’s and guys that do the land management side, and which that is good to watch, i don’t feel like it correlates to most. I think the urban hunting is for sure something we would enjoy watching whether that’s one deer a year from y’all or multiple. Then finding public land giants that you pursue and can show the story of that. Public land correlates with a lot of your viewers and finding big deer there would definitely hype up some of us. Do what you think is right and what you’d love the most. If you love it then we all will enjoy watching it unfold. Keep up the good work
Getting your own land and doing some land management would be great content! I also think doing some kind of out reach to get more youth into hunting would be a great thing for you to start! Keep God/Jesus at the center of what ever you're doing and He will bless it! congrats on that awesome buck either way!
I know u said its at 2hrs worth of video now. U should give us the short version and long version video. Some of us want to see the whole story as if we are part of the journey withbu
Hi Lee. Love all of the Seek 1 content. It gives me hunting fever with every video I watch. You mentioned that you love "The Challenge" of hunting and wanted to get back to that. Well, I have a challenge for you. I challenge you to hunt Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge (Public Land) in North Alabama, and bag a +150" deer. I have hunted Wheeler for the last 5 years, and I have other friends who have hunted it their entire life. There is definately evidence of deer this size in the area. My brother actually worked on the refuge for a season and received confirmation from daily employees/biologists who have seen them. The challenging part is that Wheeler restricts the use of cameras, leaving other personal property over night, among others. This makes it quite hard to find and pattern a deer. If you are up for the challenge, I would love to connect. I even have a couple of places that you could stay that ranges from 10 - 40+ minutes away from the property. If all else fails, I am also 40+ minutes away from Bankhead National Forest which is known for consistently bigger deer. We also have a mutual friend in Slade Johnston. I love getting to see him in your content.
Honest opinion id love to see some trad bow stuff man if you have never done it it will blow your mind at the completely new learning curve with consistency and confidence if your looking for a challenge thats it no matter what ground your hunting public private urban im telling you it just feels right when it happens
I love the passion you have for the sport of hunting. You could go opossum hunting in Johnson City Tennessee and I’d probably watch and enjoy it. Do what makes you happy, and people will follow along and if they don’t you shouldn’t care. I don’t believe you started this channel to impress people or do what others want so why change that now? I’ve been subscribed since the first video I think I know I’ll watch and support. Follow your heart and make yourself happy, I guarantee the lord will bless that and support it as well. Happy hunting!
Congratulations on a stud of a deer and the public land is going to be a whole Nother ballpark if you decide to chase deer on public land, it is always a blast though I have seen some Giants on public land and met and talked to all kinds of different hunters
What a wild wild ride! I literally can't think of anybody else in the world that could have put them puzzle pieces together! Like one in a billion chance that you find that deer let alone it all comes together! You're one of kind my man... congrats
I love this I know that it was dangerous for you your friends and the deer and I understand that you don’t and are not doing something like this again but I don’t really care what you do go and do what you think is best but public or private or anything I just love watching the videos and can’t wait to see mor mosters
Enjoyed meeting you guys at the Roswell Doe Day. What if you guys went kind of like an outfitter and did paid suburban guest hunts? Opens a revenue stream for you guys and could be designed in a way that the guests are up and coming hunters. You guys seem to love to teach and could maybe do both at the same time? Just some thoughts for you since you asked!
I love the suburban videos , but maybe try to see how you could try and tackle and conquer being on a lease of just planted/select cut pines or cleat cuts. How much different the hunting style is compared to hunting in the suburbs !
I would love to see yall go hunt some Public land and put some time in on it and find the 200 class whitetail, i think yall can do it bc yall put in the time, just a suggestion. Thanks for awesome video's
Where’s the podcast they tell the story about the kidnapping situation? I feel like I’ve listened to every podcast they’ve had and don’t recall hearing that full story on that situation. Any help is appreciated!
Try and door knock in places like Illinois, Indiana, Ohio farm land areas instead of hunting city areas. Would be cool to e see if you were able to get permission and get on some great giants!
I agree with the land management venture but with an emphasis on getting brand new hunters into the action and teaching them how to do it. See Mark Kenyon of Meateater “the back 40” type stuff.
Dude I’m 44 years old this year and I’ve hunted for 35 years. I thought I was one of the most passionate and fanatical hunters alive and never thought I could find new hunters to admire and look up to but you boys did it. I tip my hat to you good sir and look forward to the 2 , 1 hr episodes of this Buck 😁
If y’all still have that 800 acres in Atlanta that drew killed that big land on y’all should put the time and food into that property to try and grow some deer up and build stories on deer y’all grew
I bet that deer is 15 and that neighbor hood was probably beautiful untill the fentnal crisis anything u do we will follow let God guide you bro. Cameras changed the game though granted either way that deer was a legend and taken by one
I think a good chapter would be giving back to the people, and videoing people that are not as fortunate to kill nice deer like that. people that cant afford big outfitter hunts, or dont have property to hunt. people wanting to get into the sport. things like that i feel like will get you back to where you want to be. warm your heart kind of thing. that's what its all about to me in my opinion.
You need to take all the content you have of Kimbo and how you 1st started ur quest to find him and put all the content out how ever long the video may be and post it cuz this is amazing I truly feel like the lord wanted you to have him
Hey seek one how can I do doe day with you because I hunt in Georgia and I'm an new be deer hunter youtube so if you couldnt mind also helping me get on track with youtube stuff that would help a lot
I think the liability thing was they were scared of being liable for Lee if anything was to happen to him if they knew about the homeless and everything
I hate to say it but as soon as he started dragging the dog by the collar id had to tell ole boy to turn him lose or we was gonna have some serious problems and i would've said that with a gun in my hand in my pocket
Congratulations on an absolute Giant! Wild story and it really shows your dedication and love for what you do. We think part of what should be next is more big woods public hunts with Beau Martonik!
Ultimately do what God is calling you to do Lee. Its about his message and will, not ours or yours. If the suburban door is closing its because another one is opening. But there is no doubt He has given you this platform to spread his love.
I watched the video first. Then the podcast. Even though I live in Southern California, I had NO idea the Homeless problem was this big across the entire COUNTRY. Sad. Edit; I’ll be happy with my 4 points. Forked horns on our deer, in the back country. Peace and seniority are as much of the hunt as the kill.
Lee.. Why don't you look into having a replica set of horns made. They can attach them to a skull and you can have a much easier way to show him and all.
Stick to what got you there. The Urban stuff is intriguing. That said, don’t compromise your safety. Stick to places you can be comfortable in. Sounds like you have plenty of those spots. Mix in some public hunting and some other big game. Elk, Mule Deer, Pronghorn, etc.
Keep hunting where u do! No matter where u Hunt or how Dangerous it is or what Situation u are in (God is With you) an has ur back 100% of the time. That being said I’ll keep the Prayers coming ur way. An always for God to have ur back and be thr in Stressful situations! So my opinion I’ve been watching ur videos since ur starting posting them. So the only thing i would like you to change my friend is to Post more 😊 unfortunately not enough time in the day to probably do that and i understand that! Be safe and God Bless
Stick with what your good at my friend. The public land space is very crowded. Additionally, highly managed properties like those owned by High profile TV hunters will alienate a large portion of your audience you have worked hard to earn. Just one fans opinion
I’ve done this twice in Kansas in farm country. The videos are on our channel if you want to check them out. I’ve enjoyed that hunting as much as any I’ve ever done
To be real, a true once in a lifetime buck means different things to different people. Wether it be how many inches the rack is, how much the body weighs, how old the buck is, specific things on the rack like a drop or double drop tine or a perfect main frame 12 point. Hell in my Facebook hunting groups local to me I see people shooting 120 to 130 inch buck and saying it's a once in a lifetime buck lol.
Dude the suburban stuff is sick. Keep it going while you can. It's not gonna be around for long. Suburban all the way. Everyone has deer videos..... Suburban is the best
Lee there's Buck in Hall County And I got permission To Hunt there He go in 190 or Better that I don't Even Hunt there Because Iam Hunting one. Bigger with 2 Drop tiny I guided hunts in lowa for 5 years Ino what Big Deer is that one you killed is good one good job
Crazy Cool story!! Maybe Get Some land in a Sleeper state or lesser known state for big Whitetails and manage it to see what you guys can grow with the right plan in place. Would be interesting to see and show that it can be done besides just a Midwest state. I Just Got My First lease of my Own and we’re Trying to grow some good Deer. It’s a challenge all of its own. Lots of Blood sweat and Tears I’m sure whatever you decide, It’ll be great. Enjoy the content!!
I hunt the same woods as you do in ATL… you put plenty of emphasis on not being the public land guy, but I’d LOVE to watch a public land episode. Make it interesting!
