Nice repair, perfect timing since I am trying to fix the same model ps4 with absolute no power as well, hopefully I sort it out as skillfully as you did
@@calmjmaddox7970 I did fix it, was a short on a usb port that caused a previous repair attempt that for some reason replaced the 5v power connector causing a second short, in the end the machine had 2 shorts and also needed a new hdmi port
Opposite from the South Bridge IC and near one of the memory ICs. This shows it pretty well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zx7el4-FxxU.html
hi @ToltecMerc I have a problem with my PS4 Pro. I ran the firmware revert but at the beginning of the procedure I injected 5v instead of 3.3v (an image deceived me) on the syscon pin, then I corrected it. Syscon and Nor are fine, I patched them without problems and verification is ok. Now the ps4 won't come out of standby. I checked the voltages around the regulator, with Alzaabi's diagrams, and they are all correct except the 5v which from the normal 4.8v is instead 4.3v. In other areas of the motherboard I detect 4.8v. Can you give me some advice on where to intervene? Could the regulator have failed? or have I done more extensive damage? Thank you
To be honest, I have never tried to do a firmware rollback. I'm familiar with what you did, I've just never tried it. It is possible the Syscon is damaged in some way if you supplied it 5V instead of 3.3V.
@@ToltecMerc thanks for the quick answer. I injected the 5v directly into the board (I didn't remove the syscon) and therefore the damage could also be on other components. Over the weekend I'll recover a PS4 with a faulty GPU and I'll try to swap the syscon and the regulator... the low voltage is there and it makes me suspicious. Just to be safe I also try to restore the original dump. I hope the southbridge isn't affected too, I don't have the equipment to replace it.
@@ToltecMerc The bathtub is great content for RU-vid, but I'd simply get tired of having to clean it so frequently. Try the driveway with the garden hose maybe!
I got a free ps4 1215a neither power or eject button does anything, it had signs of bugs. Not getting any voltages from power supply, i ordered one waiting on it to come in. Hoping that is all that is wrong with it. Hard drive has 3500 power on hours so it may be jailbreakable
@@ToltecMerc for me there is no way to remove it without preheater listen if you need 1 for better work I can send you aoyue 866 as gift from me to you and I actually have bga rework station don't use it any more if you need it I can give you it because I upgraded to touch machine the machine called Honton r392 you can look it up but for shipping and import taxes you will have to pay for it when it arrives
@@ToltecMerc do you have snapchat or any contact I can help you out with bga rework station and help you out with profiles maybe send you my old bga station
@@ToltecMerc ok thanks for the reply. If I take out this module, which could lead to the short circuit, does the console turn us on? Before buying it I would like to make sure this is it. On the back the high diode and the low diode (near the antenna) are short-circuited. Is it normal for both poles to sound grounded? Thank you
Sir i have ps4 cuh-1208b , works only 3 beeps on press eject button, power button not working and my ps4 not powering up ........... Give solution ...... please 🙏
