That was by far the best explanation for working on a vehicle I've ever have watched! And trust me I try to do all of my vehicle work myself and have broken phones not finding what I need in complete anger and today I found light at end of tunnel! Thanks
Words can't describe how thankful I am that you made this video, a one month headache for A/C on my 00 Tahoe just got solved along with a bonus surprise. My PCM was actually failing, after replacing the PCM the A/C works perfectly with the bonus of EVAP system is now working. Again a million thanks dude👍

Bro thank you you are a life saver I couldn’t get my ac clutch to engage for dear life was about to take it to a shop and that I don’t do i work on my own stuff and saved me from taking the new compressor out and taking it back thinking it was defective so thank you 🙏🏽
Great video. My fan wouldn’t cut off, it’s just blowing nonstop. This video helped me find the fuse to cut it off. The fuse is still good by the way. Thanks
This is the best video I’ve ever seen you did such a great job explaining so clear The correct words The way you spoke efficiently it was unbelievable I watch a lot of videos on a lot of different things that I fix I rarely ever have anybody or pay anybody to fix a job for me from TVs appliances automotive etc. And I never leave a comment but I had to leave one with you I just wanted you to know you did a great job!
Thanks to you I just fixed my ac in this Cali heat good thing my mechanic already charged my lines so once I added that simple 10 fuse my ac was blowing chips 🙏🏽
Good info, my 02 just stopped blowing cold this past week. The compressor was changed out about 2 years ago and its worked great up until last week. Now compressor is not engaging. Gonna check the pressure at the fill up and see if any pressure is readable. Kinda hoping it doesn't have enough pressure to kick on the compressor which means I got a leak somewhere.
Yesterday all my buttons on my hvac worked. Now I wokeip and came outside and non of the buttons click on. I followed your guide but it still does not work.. pls help
Thank you so much for this video young man I learned a lot I thought I knew it all but I don’t. It’s always great to know you can teach an old dog new tricks like me ha ha ha ha I’m 59 years old and it sounds like you’re in your mid 20s and I’m so happy to hear that young people are showing other people tricks and proper way on how to repair systems. With this in mind young man God bless you and I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior to give you lots of love peace and prosperity for your channel and remember also for your family and friends and stay safe. ✝️✝️✝️
Ok so i fixed it! I checked the Ohms on the clutch coil and it checked good, but when i plugged it in and turned on the AC i blew the 10 amp fuse. Turned out the bearings were shot and overheated the clutch, melted the insulation on the coil and exposed the wires. The coil wires would short once the clutch engaged.
great video , how would one diagnose the cause of the ac running in the recycle only mode, no ac switch on ? AC switch does work . But AC runs , with ac light off and recycle switch on . 2004 v 8 chevy tahoe. temp switch , pressure switch , bad relay , fuse, or is the 2 dial control unit ? thanks for any suggestions on how to proceed. I have not found any other youtube answers to this question. Only ones for when the AC " does" not work.
2001 Chevy Tahoe, all fuses and relay are good, checked all. fan blows, A/C does not blow cold air, was driving to El Paso, A/C blowing cold, then no cold, but fan works. could it r the A/C htr switch. Any suggestions appreciated. Your video was great for the AC fuses btw
On my silverado 2004 the ac works fine but sometimes shuts off but once I wiggle it it turn back on but it only works for a few days sometimes less. I have replaced the engine fuse box and it still does the same tried different relays also could it be that low free on?
I got the service engine on is that what makes it not to run cold? And just bought the Yukon 02 and the owner of the truck put wiring and switch on to the relay. Wires are connected on both left side pin?
Great video! Question...when i start my silverado with ac off the compressor kicks on. I have to turn the fan control know on and back off to stop compressor. Any ideas? Anyone experience this before?
2000 z71 5.3. A/c blowing cold one day and then next day warm air. Tried to put Freon but pressure was high. Checked all fuses and relay that you said to check and everything good. Ac would cycle when I hooked fridgerant up but like I said it would pressure the gauge up but once it cycled the pressure would come down then start pressuring up again. Once I pulled refrigerant off the a/c compressor stopped cycling. What am I missing? TIA
Did you fix your problem? I'm going through the same exact problem, except I lost some freon when replacing the heater core. I topped off the freon and it was fine for a while. My AC stopped running a few months after that.
2000 Chevy Suburban 1500 LT, AC was blowing cold, My blower motor ramped all the way up to high and the air started blowing warm out of the defrost vents. I smelled an electrical smell in the truck cab. Now the blower motor is always on high when the truck is on, The blower motor will stop blowing when I turn the truck off. The AC control panel will not do anything. All AC fuses are good, 2 inside the cab by the driver door and 3 in the electrical center under the hood, i had another fuse there that said front HVAC. I pulled the blower motor resistor and I don't see anything burned or any bulging caps on it. My truck does not have the fan control that says OFF, 1,2,3,4,5. Mine has hash marks and about 20 positions on the fan speed dial like the one in your video. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I don’t know if anyone is going to reply but I’ll give it a shot. I have a 2002 tahoe AC gets hot when I’m at idle just when it’s over 100 degrees. Changed out compressor, accumulator, high an low pressure sensors.
I have a 2006 suburban that blows warm from the front vents and defrost but blows cold from the rear ceiling vents , do you have any suggestions on what the problem could be?
@@tyscott4538 yes sir. If your surburban is like my silverado you are going to will have to remove 3 screws i believe (i think they are 7mm ) from your under dash knee panel . You dont have to remove the panel just pull it down enoght where you can access it
The A/C will not shutoff when the AC switch on the Climate Control module is off. It only shuts off when the fan switch is turned off. Swapped Climate Control Module but no change. PCM?
My 10 amp fuse is blowing as well. Not sure if i have a short on that power wire or the clutch control relay is shot? When i disconnected it from the side of the compressor the fuse was fine. As soon as i connected it and turned on the truck, it blew...that was with the AC turned off btw. Any clue?
@@javierhinojosa5041 hey, after I was at my wits end. I checked for common place where wire rubs raw - on the compressor side between the oil pan and trans cooling lines but I found nothing. But some how I got it to kick back on. By going to your fuse box in engine bay find the fuse that says hvac should be to the right of the 10a compressor fuse - check it if burnt replace it if it’s good simply take out for like 5 minutes then plug back in and plug in new 10a for compressor and make sure the connecter to the compressor is connected properly this worked for me. Good luck gave me a headache all this after I installed brand new compressor and ac lines ect.
@@javierhinojosa5041 common causes would be bad clutch coil blowing out your fuse or a short circuit - a raw wire touching bare metal. Try taking out the hvac fuse for like 5 minutes and try again somehow I think it resets the ac.
Try replacing your blower resistor if all your fuses check good before replacing the blower. Bench test your blower if you can by disconnecting it and applying 12 VDC to the connectors.
