I was so convinced by my "A/C" mechanics that it was an actuator or the entire system needing to be replaced. After doing their recommended procedure to disconnect the battery and let it sit for an hour, it would reset. It didn't. After much research on RU-vid, came across this and just finished the re calibration procedure. My A/c on both sides work perfectly and now its blowing colder than ever! Thanks so much for the assist!

Hey Falcon, I have used your video several times over the last year and a half. I have a 2005 GMC sierra truck. Every once in a while my driver side AC will blow hot air. Each time, I pull up your video, get a refresher, and go through the procedure and I am back in business. Thank you sir for paying it forward. This is an excellent video.

Did this recalibration on 2007 gmc yukon Denali, there are 3 fuses I pulled hvac-ign, hvac, and Aux hvac rear. Worked perfectly. I was having trouble with rear turning off and front max a/c turning cycling off within a minute of start up. Great info bro, It saved me a lot of headache and time of trying to figure out all the electrical THX

Spot-on fix! 2009 Yukon SLT. Just thought I’d toss the year in there as one of the models this fix will work for. Fuse box is a bit different but not very hard to figure out by looking at the fuse box schematic. Sequence works the same way. Good job of explaining everything in straight talk layman’s terms. Enjoyed your presentation and am now a subscriber! Excellent! Thank you!

This was great! Thank you! I have a 2004 GMC Seirra that would blow out the defrost. I put the HVAC in auto, turned off truck, pulled HVAC fuse, put fuse in after a minute. started truck and it worked. It didn't go in a recalibration mode that went through all positions like the one here on tour video, but now I could switch it to any position and HVAC worked flawlessly. Thank you again.

This works folks! My silverado does this lately whenever I disconnect the battery for repairs. But never did this until recently. I have found on my truck that the third time is the charm on this procedure. Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time. I don’t know why it take multiple cycles for my truck but it eventually works. Good information mr falcon!

I am sure the bulk of you guys have already figured this out but there is one thing that was left out of this video. When you are doing this you need to doit with the driver's door open. When you turn off the key and wait 15 seconds and all those procedures if the door is closed then the HVAC and the radio will stay on as I'm sure you all know. But just incase someone was doing this in a really cold place and had the door closed and was having issues with it I just wanted to point that out is all!! Thanx for sharing this info with everyone, great video!

I have a 2004 Yukon. Cold air out of drivers side snd hot out of passengers side. I had just replaced the lower passenger side actuator about 3 months ago so I thought it was defective because I bought it from amazon although it was quiet and not making any kind of noise. The original had stripped its gears and could head the noise. Saw you video and a couple others dealing with this problem. I liked yours better. You explained sequence better and showed exactly what to do. I followed your direction and at the end I had heat on both sides. I could not see any sequencing going on while it was recalibrating like your video showed snd it was quiet so I thought it wasn’t working but after two minutes I turned vehicle off and then restarted and it all worked. Thanks for the excellent video. I definitely did not want to to rip the dash out to replace those hidden actuators. $1000,00 to do that

Here are the steps in a nutshell, taken from your video: Yukon Blend Door Calibration Procedure Turn ignition to on (not start). Press Auto on HVAC Controls. Turn ignition off. Remove HVAC/ECAS 10A fuse (lower right hand corner fuse box). Wait 1 minute. Replace fuse. Start truck. Screen should show 74 degrees & cycle thru. Wait 2 minutes. Turn ignition off. Wait 15 seconds. Great video. I had a prior problem with my 2004 GMC Sierra drivers side blowing only heat. I replaced the door actuator and it fixed that problem. [I didn't know about the reset procedure so never reset and it worked fine]. I am now having a problem in a/c mode blowing a/c for awhile and then switching to heat by itself. So I performed the reset in this video. The first few times I performed the reset, the fan would only blow through the defrost, and the fan levels wouldn't change. On the third reset, it finally worked. I haven't yet determined whether the reset fixed the a/c heat fluctuation issue (will have to drive awhile to figure that out). I have heard on other forums that my problem could also be the a/c pressure switch going bad (which costs about $20).

@Falcon's Garage I can't find the correct fuse on my 2014 Impala Limited. Is see where the fuses are but none of them say hvac. I also don't have the auto button for my ac unit so I figured that part didn't matter. Will disconnecting the battery work? I replaced the actuator and it sounded slower then faster to the point it makes 3 different noises for a span of 2 minutes that sound like an MRI machine. Please help if you can.

05 yukon gmc. Minnesota freezing I was here last year and your video cured my heater actuator reset. it only works at 90° and that's just fine. But now my rear heat quit working after I unplug the battery all night because I have a parasite drawer in my door lock. I tried to reset a couple more times but no go. Front works fine at 90°.

Battery went dead on my 2011 Silverado. Upon battery change out and start. The passenger side was blowing hot air. This re-calibrate fixed the problem. I pulled the HVAC BAT fuse, 10 Amp. I think it was #39. Thanks
