Great job. I watched both part one and two. I appreciate you putting the time and effort into making this vid. It really helps a broke fella like myself out.
This video was very helpful to me. I am having a TrueTrac put in my F 550 front and back. Although I am not stetting my gears back up, I am doing the grunt work of taking the axles off of the truck and putting new seals on the shaft along with new hubs on the knuckles before I put the axle back on the truck. When I tried to take the axle shaft out, I thought I was screwing something up because the vacuum seal was stuck, so I stopped. With your help I know better now. Thanks again for the video.
Lenny D Lenny if your asking how it comes out of the axle tube. The only tools I used was an impact gun and socket, and a hammer and big punch and big cold chisel to get it out. once the shaft was removed from tube. I used a small cold chisel and hammer to remove old vacuum seal. As well as the outer tube seal. Some emry cloth/ sand paper and wire wheel to clean everything up. Then replaced the seals and reinstalled. No "specialty" tools needed.
Might be a good alternative... let me know how it works. Just so everyone knows the hub assemblys are only going to last around 4 years. I changed these parts what 4 years ago right. So just had to replace my passenger side hub assembly on the front again. Had a 3 year warranty and they go out on the 4th year. Murphys law right.
It worked out pretty good, but be careful you could go in to far, But I plow with my f250.. and also changed out my hub Assembly along with the ball joints. The upper was welded in with rust.. took me forever to get it popped lol. But I just got finished a couple hrs ago. Thanks for the upload and the reply good sir. A life saver
I feel like I just wasted my time watching your video. It'd be nice to for you to show us actually how you got the part on their FYI but I do appreciate all the other information
