CRM6718 Thanks for viewing and great question! So everything is based off of the 1 1/4" pipe. the "disk" is a flange for mounting pipe to a floor for like making a pipe hand rail. alot of grinding had to be done to bring the circumference down to a smaller size to fit the seal. The pip itself is a 8" long nipple. meaning threaded on both ends. then the hammering portion is a cap screwed on top.
@ allry100571, thanks! I saw your other video that talks about it. I think I can build one tomorrow. I now have one more question. I have removed every thing (except the yoke/gear) to get to the inner seals. My question is, there seems to be some kind of white guide for the axel to slide through(& not kink the seals). How do you remove the old seals? trying to hit with long rod from one side is not a good idea(which works great on Dana 30, BTW). So, how do you remove the inner seals ( next to yoke)?
CRM6718 those inner seals are straight up a pain in the ass. lol. On the "short" side or drivers side i actually used apiece of 1/2" rebar to knock it out. probably was risky un doing that but.... the other side though i think i actually had to pull that one out from inside the pumpkin. It was a pain. Im very sure they're is a specialty tool that can either be bought our rented to pull those seals
