I actually have an 01 version of this car as my daily. shes seen better days though. still needs a bit of fixing left to do, but overall handles well. The leather seats are cracking, both door panels are damaged, my driver side speaker cover is broken, so the speaker is exposed but works like a troop. The interior is dirty and dusty, but no clutter. I feel as if I can't catch up on anything with this car. No AC but I can live with that for now. Recently the heated seats took a dump at the same time, so I will need to check the fuse during the spring. The heat takes a minute, but that's expected for these smaller motors. Either that or my heating core got dirty again. When I think about it, if the old timers delt with these situations with their car, then I can live just fine. just keep up with the maintenence then there she goes. The plastic in a couple areas are easily breakable. This car has taken some beatings. It looks like it's been through a light hail strom judging the few dents. This cars condition sounds like it has 300k miles on it when it really only has 122k. I would like to get either an old school beetle or a much newer one someday. It's hard to let this thing go without an excuse because this is my first car Lol The only excuse I can see having is when the timing belt goes out. I would put a better motor in it, but I don't have a shop. I'm a backyard mechanic so it gets very tricky having to deal with these situations. Don't mean to write this much. I just like sharing my experiences.
The 2.0 N/A 115HP engine have the APK/AQY codes (i heard that these 2 engine codes have the same engine) and i already told you about my AQY 2000 Bora :D
Ciekawe autko, czy ktoś posiada 2.0 automat pierwszej generacji? Jak wogule spisuje się? I czy automat jest żywotny? Bo szukam takiego autka dla żony ale tylko automat, pozdrawiam.

@@Shadow66669 A ma ten samochod jakies pozytywy? Byl drogi, brzydki, slabo wygluszony, psuje sie, slabe silniki bez mocy, wnetrze jak w dostawczaku, buja na zakretach. Pierwszej generacji garbusa to jeszcze zrozumiem, ale to... cos?
