In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2001 Acura CL. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I was tinkering with one of these in my automotive class today, except it was a 2003 I believe. This car was niiiiice! I really liked how the engine "felt" when I revved it. But then again, I'm used to driving my little old '98 Civic buzzbomb everywhere.

Had an ‘02 TL. Transmission was toast, like many ‘02 TLs, so I got it replaced then totaled the poor car one month later. I grew up with it, my mom got it in ‘08 and she passed it to me when I started driving, it’s always nostalgic to hear that startup :’)

I drove one of these today! A 2001 white one with a spoiler on the back. Only 116,000 miles on it. But it was not my car. Lol. It drove real smooth! :)

Very nice,love the nose,interior nice,200,000 love cared miles. My Daughter in law has a new Honda, and I have had 4 of them, I know Honda/Acura quality, this shows it too. It does need Kyle`s loving, talented touch,ie. headlights,lol. You just rock ,man.

For everyone out there, the headlights are HID's (Xenon - the bright white headlight you may see on a BMW or Mercedes) and are standard on almost all Acura's since 99.

I have that car in red.. I put a new RIMS a while ago. Also, mine has a spoiler. This car is beautiful when you put new rims and a spoiler. I haven't lowered yet. I am trying to pimp this car gradually. :)

Did you get it? Do you still own it? If yes, got any stories about it? I bought a 2001 in 2000 when they first hit dealers. Loved it. Put 230K on it in 11 years and sold it in 2011. Tranny was replaced at about 130K. Other than that it was very reliable and fun to drive. My buddy I sold it to got it up to about 320K but beat on it and didn't take care of it like I did, then crashed it so now it's at out local junkyard providing spare parts!

I bought this car off my sister as soon as I got my license. This car is very easy to ride!! Also, it is made in 2001 and still runs new!! It is as good as a 2008-2010 car. This car accelerate very quick. I love to cut people when they go slow.. >_

Great car! I just bought the 2001 Acura 3.2 CLS yesterday. All silver, with black leather interior. Im in Toronto, and the thing had about 100Km on it, only 1 previous owner who treated it like gold. The suckers in mint condition, and the guy gave it to me for $6500CDN. Im pretty excited, so thatnks for posting this video and giving me a tour of my new car

@@OfficialGundem Thats cool! Actually - mine went pretty quickly. After about 3 months of owning it - the transmission went, and it was way too much money to repair it, so unfortunately - I had to get rid of the old girl. I loved that car though!

@@OfficialGundem Honestly - I dont know if it was a fluke, or if in fact it was something to do with the majority of those cars, but it was so strange because before I bought it - I took it to 2 different mechanics and both of them said it was in impeccable shape....

I don't know why but I love these in green. If they offered this on the type S 6-speed that would have been pretty slick. I guess my white 6-speed will have to do. Crazy to think that this car in the video almost had 200,000, mi back 13 years ago!! My 2003 is only at 185, 000

@2fast4all They are mildly faster than the Accord V6 and handle a bit tighter although the Accord does have a smoother ride. Both are built solid though.

How much were they asking for the CL? I'm looking to Get a CL,Tl, or a Honda Accord from the 98-02 Years For my First car.. They look to Be and Very Nice cars and Last forever my Mom got a 06 Honda pilot With 97k and loves it to Death! Thanks Keep up the Great work on the Video's.

It upsets me to only see the acura branch getting this. This car is the acura version of the 6th gen accord(98-02) and my 02 doesn't have slapstick, navigation, or the better engine. Only thing is, the acura interior is softer and it rips sooner

@bigace511 My Friend has a TL heatsoaks like crazy, If you look on acurazine people are going through hell trying to stop heatsoak, both 3.2 and 3.5 engines have it bad. I've had an RSX no problems thing was top noch!

Love this car! Why did they discontinue it? Why? It was one of the best Acuras made. Acura needs a coupe. They discontinued the Intergra and RSX for now reason at all. There making another NSX. Let's pray for it to be an actually sports car instead of a car that has a Insight engine(yes, the concept is a hybrid) with the body and interior of a sports car.

Adin W I heard that was the concept version of the 1997-99 Cl. I'm hoping that they will make it on the Honda Accord platform or make it a coupe version of the ILX. Anyways, the NSX is going to be in production starting in the 2017 model year. I'm so excited for that!

i have the 02 CL type S - from 01-03 it is plague with faulty transmissions. tl is 99-05 , so stay away

Dan Kingsley I have the 03 CL type S. It is a gorgeous car with such a comfortable interior and solid power. As mentioned above, sadly V6 Honda/Acuras of this time period suffered from faulty transmissions. If you are going to get one, be prepared to face transmission failure at some point--which doesn't necessarily need to be a deal-breaker if you're willing to pay the cost. I use mine as a side car, not my primary mode of transport so I'm ok with that. Aside from that flaw, it's a stunning car that you can get for a good price.

shit 191k! I wonder if it has the original transmission especially since this generation is known for them failing and this is a first model year CL. Not bad condition tho, but you really need to fix those oxidized headlights, really make the car look old.
