How about a bonus video! I get a lot of questions about the equipment I use. I cleaned one of the trucks up a couple of weeks ago, so I figured since it was all cleaned up, I’d do a quick video on it! This is one of the two Cummins powered Dodge pickups that I haul with! I ordered this truck new after I quit working for Chrysler in Warranty Administration at the end of 2001. This is a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins Diesel and a 5 speed manual transmission.
This pickup has 90,000 actual miles on it and it is original. It has been moved to back up duty and I don't run it regularly to haul cars any more.
It's a great truck and this was the end of the line for this body style. This truck was actually built in May of 2002, about 30 days before the body style was changed on the heavy duty pickups for 2003. This was one of the last of the breed. These trucks were groundbreaking for Dodge and they are still popular even today!

I have the same truck except it’s a short bed SLT Laramie Plus. The actual color if I recall correctly is called Dark Garnet Red and mine has the two tone silver below it. 157,500 miles as of today 1-27-23. I had to replace all the brake lines recently along with some other parts that obviously go bad in the span of 21 years but Motor still runs excellent but it’s all how you take care of your stuff. It gets nothing but shell rotella T 5-40 synthetic oil and fleet guard filters.

My husband has same 2002 with leather, auto, and 230,000 miles. Our truck is just getting broke in. We put a truck camper on it for summer time. Awesome truck 👍

Neat i have a 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab long bed 1500 magnum 318 v8 automatic 4x4 it a gloss black with most of the white pinstripe its a northern Ohio truck so it does have some rust around the edges and honestly it could use a pair of front fenders and it would look like a different truck with better front fenders.... Truck has 210k although the cluster shows 77k factory cluster had several failures... almost a perfect headliner and front suspension is completely rebuilt transmission has had the front pump input shaft seal and torque converter replaced,i looking for a 68-71 Ford f250 camper special trim truck or aleast a sport custom pkg truck for a shop truck/farm truck rat rod project truck that I can trade my dodge ram for, but I don't think I would be able to do that since the freaking ground squirrel chewed on the injector cylinder 7 connector pigtail off and the map sensor connector pigtail which shares it ground wire between several different sensors so unfortunately it doesn't currently run anymore which sucks since the ac blew out cold ac and the motor ran strong for a 318 magnum V8 and it also suffers from the factory junk cracked dodge ram dash but the main structure is decent and fairly still intact and it has a dash skinz dash cap and cluster bezel already..

I think the second generation is the best looking Dodge ..even better then new one's...they still look great today.. weather it's gas or cummins.. don't put black wheels or tube bumpers and a giant lift with 5 shocks on each side ...they look great stock oe...
