I remember when this model came out, replacing the 540 Sundancer. (It's the same hull. The differences are: addition of skylight in salon to make cabin look better lit. The galley and sofa switched sides. The galley was previously on the port side. Changing it enabled them to lengthen the couch. The galley, as stated is where the washer/dryer combo was moved into from under the bed in the master stateroom. Deleting gave you the extra refrigerator. Also, the hardtop droops down slightly in the rear, enabling shorter people better access to putting up the canvases. The head in the VIP stateroom in the bow was changed to this split design, port toilet, starboard shower, from the previous layout that had both toilet and shower on same side.) This boat is, as shown, a direct drive boat, not a V-drive, like other Sundancers. The straight shafts enable better maneuverability. Great boat. Even being 20 years old, it still has a modern look to it.
Did I miss the stove top part? I saw ALL kinds of storage, but no mention of a stove top! This is a beautiful boat! The engine room was spectacular! Nice!!!
I get that the lounge is enormous and it does looks comfy, but I’m shocked there isn’t a third small cabin. For a 55’ I feel like that’s usually not a huge ask. I’m sure it was owner spec I just couldn’t imagine this much boat with so little sleeping accommodation. Then again I’m not a retired couple who probably won’t need room for 4-6 guests that often. The extra space is probably well enjoyed by those who travel as a couple for long times with the occasional visits from another couple folks.
The reason is this yacht has 2 very large staterooms. To have a 3rd stateroom they would have needed to make the forward stateroom the master and then greatly reduce the size of the aft stateroom and salon to make room for a 3rd stateroom. It's unnecessary because the sofa in the salon can be turned into a full size bed. That's really all you need for the very few times a 3rd stateroom would be used. If you have a large family you would likely want a different model but for 95% of us this would be optimal.
21 years old , its an object and everything inside is old , the boat is cute but the age aspect makes it that to buy it, you need to get a deal , a deal is 130-150k if it’s in perfect condition, brokers are the best to take the boat for a deal and sell it back to make a huge profit , remember get the boat for a good price no matter who tells you what or else it’s you that gets the Vaseline in the ass , sorry but that’s the truth , if they want to sell that thing , the only reason it’s because for them it’s worth nada and they are ready to give it to any prices , if they pretend they are that rich 🤑 , cheers 🥂
I never got a email back from you people what engines are in this boat and do except trades ? and what are the hours on this boat im here in michigan and this is a fresh water boat ?
So many things that can break on this puppy. Can't imagine the total maintenance cost on something like this since buying new until now. I would love to know what that cost is over 20yrs of owning a boat like this is just for repairs. Can anyone help or guess what that number might be?
you didnt say what the engines are and their performance. i think i seen it say Mann . knowing how many hours and when they was last serviced would be good to know as well. just a thought. the looks nice. it could use some color on the outside though. too much white on white thats me though.
Awesome boat!! How long does it take to sell a boat like this, I mean in good condition but 20 years old ? what I try to say, as a previous boat owner, if you don't get a bargain from the straight beginning you're in trouble.Usually if this kind of boat is for sale , it only means that the owner is stuck with it and when you're stuck you give a deal, the asking price for this boat is far from being a deal, no disrespect I offer 100k
This is a 400,000 plus boat guys Not sure if any of you have priced out new boats today a 22 footer would cost 130,000 anymore for a brand new 2024 !!!! Sad but true 😂
If you notice, they aren't Nice and White, and look at all the fittings, they seemed like a hodgepodge or collection of re-does, plus worn or burnt spots here and there on engine. Not that it's all bad, but this is not pristine.
Sea Ray makes decent small runabouts… not big ocean going g craft. From the get go’ in this review… we are looking at an unfortunate oiling bolt on swim step that some engineer said” hey…. we need a thing back there.” Everything from the helm station to appointments scream Bayliner, … the parent corporation.
Very dated tech. wine storage id make a bait freezer, completely useless outside the refer unit..... i see a 125k fiftht wheel here at best for a 20 year old cruiser. Dated
