Got a 1.9tdi it’s had a mapped ecu on it (b4 I got it) I’m looking at putting a standard ecu back on it would donor ecu clocks keys locks work plug n play or would they still need coding mines a bxe but when u plug vcds in is shows ecu as bkc and the clocks it has don’t show mpg and stuff but I have the multifunction steering wheel so I take it who ever did the (map or ecu swap changed clocks to lower spec) I think they just brought a mapped ecu clock key set up so wondering if can get get all the bits and change back (if I get ecu clocks keys locks barrel cheers
Hello Dear, My SEAT LEON 2014 1.2L TSI's ECM was damaged due to short in O2 sensors wiring, it's confirmed that my old ECM is faulty and I just bought another ECM from junk same car. Now my car just started for 1-2 seconds and then turned off due to Immobilizer mismatch between second ECM and the car itself. My question is which CHIP I need to replace between two ECMs to match Immobilizer system? which IC stored the Immobilizer code? Or How can I program the new ECM in details? I've stuck with the same problem. Bought a donor ECU from ebay but don't know it's pin code. I've got mine pin with vagtacho but when replacing ecus and reading with vagtacho again it shows me my old pin code again which is from the instrument cluster module not from the ecu. How can I read the pin from the donor ECU with vagtacho please?
Sorry this video was a waste of time. Without the PIN/SKC from the original ECU or Cluster, there is no way to use VCDS to swap in a used ECU from a donor vehicle and get it running. Directions for the above can be found on the Ross Tech website.
you will need pin from donor ECU and pin from the vehicle. without that you can not do it this way, the is showing how to install a donor engine control unit to the vehicle
