I'm building mine up... It's a 2001 Tahoe. Just finished building the 4L60E. Built up a 6.0L for it. Built all on my own. Well consulted some industry specialists. Had a custom ground cam cut for my build. Rebuilt my suspension, but haven't lifted it yet. I went with Poly and LOVE it. Truck climbs like a beast stock 3.73 gears.
Nice truck! Well done! I've had a bunch of em and learned a lot. RC lift was not great in my experience. I found Cognito and went with their 6" non torsion bar drop kit, including UCA's, a cv front drive line, hd alloy tie rods, hd sway bar, pitman and idler supports, and it handles super sweet. Their steering fixes are a must, lifted or not. I also had to micro-tune my rear pinion angles to within .25 degrees of each other to eliminate driveline vibrations.
Nice build. Just purchased a suburban Z71 myself, plan to do similar. Btw lift kit options are still very slim. RC, BDS and Superlift are only options. You seem to not have any issues with the RC lift.
Love the Suburban. Looks fantastic, and great video. Just got an 04 2500. What wheels are on yours? That's what I'm looking for for mine in 17". I'm also thinking about a Truck Norris cam, and long tube headers. That would wake up my 6.0. Thanks for the video
You can't use those wheels because of 6 vs 8 lug. I have the same ones on my '03 Suburban with 33" tires, they're KMC XD's, don't think they're still made in that exact style but they have similar designs you can find on Google. Might even make them in 8 lug.
Nice build. Just featured a budget build Z71 Suburban on my channel...some overland flavor but we hit some hard trails to test it out! Check it out. Awesome looking suburban!
Nice I got a 04 z71 burban myself. I want to do a actual suspension lift currently have Ford torsion keys with 35 inch tires. Have a video of it on my channel for anyone wondering how 35s on a leveled 01-06 GM truck would look
@@justinglenn4443 dam. Nice truck, this body style in my opinion is going to be hit as a classic moving forward. I own 2005 z71 white suburban. Best truck I have ever owned. Kids think it’s out dated but I love it and always will
@@rcozpinoy I have one identical to that the fog lights on a Tahoe are round like that Suburban are straight.maybe is USA that's a Suburban in Canada Tahoe.
Just for future reference, the rear doors is the easiest way to tell from a distance if it's a Tahoe or Suburban. On Suburbans, the rear doors go straight down, on a Tahoe they curve with the rear fenders because of the shorter wheelbase.
