@@allthemani852 I did the front in about 2 hours and the rear took about 1 hour. It can definitely be done faster but I took my time( and several beer breaks)
But all your doing is taking away down travel ,seems inefficient, how do you make the axles level? Is this just a lift for duochbags? If I’m wrong please lat me know
@@jeffkowalski3107sorry, i know this is an older comment. But in case you were curious they do may front dif drop spacers so they sit level again, usually it’s needed when doing the 3.5” and greater lifts. But it’s likely anyone doing these strut spacers is doing it just for show and not intended for trails or real 4wd usage.
why wasn’t the part of the sway bar disconnection included? that was a big part and wasted a lot of time moving that when it should’ve been included. Not cool.
Just watching as a refresher, i have a 2016 sr5 2wd. Ilbought it used woth a 2” spacer and upgrading it next week to a 3” loaded strut for a inch more height and a better ride. Im not putting bigger tires on it anytime soon. Great video! Love browsing yalls site and all the open box and clearance items! Never know what ya need till ya see it 🙂↕️😉
Getting ready to do mine and have a few thoughts. How often does the tie rod end release without any downward force? 🤔 Would the top ball joint have released without the pry bar that magically appearing? There is no such thing as a 19mm Crescent but we know what you meant. 😊 Are torque specs important on the upper ball joint and tie rod end castle nuts? And any of the other fasteners for that matter?
I have this kit on my truck came with it when I bought I recently bought some wheels that are 35x12.5x17 would they work ? I know I would have to do a cab mount relocation
We were physically able to mount up 35s, but there was some rubbing on the front bumper. You would have to do some modifications to get rid of the rubbing.
@@ExtremeTerrainToyota I was being sarcastic but thank you for the replying 😁... If I didn't do my own work, my dad (rest in peace) would be disappointed in me 😉... Video was very helpful 😉
As soon as you stop listening to the keyboard warriors on your forums, you’ll realize just how little is required for a lift, and you’ll realize that 60% of the crap they sell you is unnecessary.
I didn’t buy this specific kit but the same size from another company. What’s the issue you’re having with adding 33s? Haven’t installed the lift yet so I’m curious what problem you ran into
Are there any other upgrades you’d recommend to go along with this install to help keep the longevity of your Tacoma and make sure than you’re not spending $$$ later in repairs? @extremeterrain
35's with this set up would most likely rub and you would need to do some modifications. It would all depend on the set up though including the tire/wheel width and offset as well as the "agressiveness" of the tread. Hope this helps!
@tommyliu7634 I would like to know also.......I already have the kit he is showing AND the 33's but don't want to get them mounted on my rims yet if I need to do a CMC
