If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.
Good Evening, I hope the weather on your side is a bit better than here. I love the way where Mrs is speaking as one can know about such a beautiful area and have a nice day out in summer. I always enjoyed your videos. I wanted to share something and again apologies if I am talking too much here. My car is waiting for the MOT test and I wanted to save some money and I went to the Voucher site and bought a voucher for MOT for a cheap price. I went to the garage for MOT. Firstly I couldn't find where it was and then finally I located it and it was like when you go to a shopping center with many shops and then there is a shop at the end of the dark corner. They asked me to bring the car in and then while my engine was still running, he asked me if my car was petrol or diesel. Now I am not a mechanic but I once heard that the diesel car's engine is noisier than the petrol one. So this made me suspicious. I thought of why this guy is working on the cars when he does not know this difference. Anyways I told him it is a diesel car. To this, he replied that in this case, the MOT test will not be possible as the machine which does diesel emission test is offline and this machine is connected to VOSA and it will be good to re-book the test. I agreed and while driving back home, i thought something is not right. I went to the place where my car was serviced three rimes before and I asked their manager is this true. So he found out that the diesel emission machine is not linked with VOSA at all. Now I am trying to get my refund back. Moral of the story- don't go cheap. So please could you make video about how to pass the MOT test and how not to get conned by some people who want to con people like me? Also could you please please please make a video about how to lubricate the car inside, outside and under as I have no clue which lubricant to use? I tried a few videos and some people say to use this specific product and some say don't use that. Many thanks in advance and like always I will be waiting for more videos from you.
Thank you so much for the positive comments. I will bear your request in mind regarding the MOT pre checks but to be honest I have never done any pre checks in the last 15 years. The reason being, its somewhat of a specialist area where the rules can change a lot but luckily for us we have had a local Ford garage which we feel we can trust. We have never had them do any work as I normally do that but I trust them to go over the car and give us a genuine MOT with genuine fail areas. For me being unqualified I see this as a good service as I can trust them to find the faults I may not have noticed and I can just do the donkey work of repairing what needs doing to pass the MOT. I think finding a trustworthy MOT station is important. If I were to move I would be in the same position as yourself which might not be as comfortable as I have built a trust in this local garage. I might try to get my wife to do more voice over work if she has time as her voice certainly sounds better than mine lol
I have to say that oil filter housing and positioning on this engine looks like a complete nightmare. I have never seen anything so badly designed. I'm not a fan of Ford cars and this just re-inforces my view. However your video is very clear and thorough. In fact too prescriptive. I think we all know what a 21 and 27mm socket look like and pair of disposable gloves!
Thank you for the positive comment. Think Ford might be off the hook on this one as I understand the engine to be French from the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group. Peugeot were/is a big name in Diesel engine manufacture so I think a lot of manufacturers use the same engine from them. Does seem very awkward like you say, a lot easier when the filter is underneath a car next to the sump. Sorry I might be making things too obvious in my videos but I also try to bear in mind some viewers might be hard of hearing so try to use visuals a lot to help them.
@@smert62 There has been some controversy over this but if you watch this video below apparently it's designed to work by putting it in the cap first. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YSHif5Fde7E.html
@@CoatsandGaiters Yes thank you. However, if filter element inserted with cap and positioned is it right way to do correct job? some people doing like this. and also They are expanding a bit on the back side of the filter. Are u doing this?
