I have to do this job tomorrow. I watched 2 previous videos. Yours was by far the best! Thank you.

I’ve watched 4 other videos on this. I like yours the best. You seem to be the only one that took it off without: 1. Torch 2. Chisel impact set 3. Dremel It seems the fastest way to go or the least amount of heart ache is your way. Gj 👍

@@HEVTech1 did you torque the bolts down to spec? I did not and I’m hoping I don’t regret it

@@jacklynch3333 I sure didn't 😂 The car has 234k miles tho so these are the last bearings that will be used more than likely. The bearing removal tool worked so well I'll just rent it again from O'Reilly's if I need it.

You're explanation at 16:18 about the access to the 4 bolts was really good. Thanks for the video.

Great video. Only suggestion is use Never Seize when reassembly to prevent corrosion down the road.

Great video. I’ve read often it’s suggested to replace the axle nut upon reassembly and never reuse. For those that do keep in mind some may be various sizes…my replacement axle nut was 32mm and 6 tooth sided instead of 30mm 12 tooth sided like the original

Super awesome video, couldn’t have done the job without it!!! Just a heads up to people who drive in winter conditions. That wheel bearing needs a good pounding to come out, and I mean a good pounding.

Yep, I took mine to a local garage after failing to remove it, they said it needed 11 tons of pressure to get it out using their hydraulic press.

Im not kidding when I say this but I just did mine and both sides LITERALLY fell out on their own. I was dreading having to pound them out but they came out on their own. It's a San Diego car so THANK GOD.@@mickwildbore153

Another way to break the hub nut free is to leave the tire on when you loosen it. Thanks for the video. This is a different method and it is a good one.

this is the best method of kick out the bearing or hub. The two stand is the best idea.

Nice video. For some reason, I never thought to use jack stands to support the knuckle when hammering out the bearings. Great tip. Thanks.

Instead of taking so much off.. The hub will come off with a simple hub puller which would take 1.5 minutes ..... When he did not take the hub off. Easily, I knew ho was to taking a lot off this season. You can also use the wheel studs attached to the hub for the puller the HUB shaft has a indent that one can use the hub puller using the ident bolt to pulling the hub off. No need to take so much off the wheel assembly.. All OLD cars to take the hub off you need a Puller which all mechanics have. Not expensive.

I've seen when mechanics beat the shit out of the bearing, use impact chisels, so I'd like to see what u'd DO if u couldn't get it off. Bench it, e/ a vise? U made it look easy, great job!

So I went to bleed and instead of break system kicking on, I hear a clicking in relay box and fluid is just dripping out.

Did you use the same 30mm socket to hammer the old bearing out when you had it up on the Jack stands?

Did anyone else find a different size axle nut? The video says 30mm (12 tooth). I only had a 30mm (6 tooth). That did not work. I rented a 32mm (6-tooth) from O'Reilly's and that wouldn't even go over it. I'm reading that some aftermarket axle nuts are 36mm...but I'm pretty sure this is the original. Any input would be appreciated.
