So, I was removing my stereo, and those wires that run at the bottom for the AC, the clip parts that go into the wall, came out, and I don't see anything they actually connect to anymore. There is the wjoles but nothing on the other side of the the hole, just empty. Does that mean they have fallen back into the dash more? Or were they just holders?
Appreciate the video man. After removing the screws even some that I probably shouldn't have. That thing still felt like it was welded in as I tried pulling. Thought there must be some more screws. I got a butter knife and started to pry. Simply pulling as you were doing didn't work for me.
some pop out easy some don't its a steady pressure or some times you need a pry tool, ive gotten lots of views and lots of questions things i never would have thought of adding i have plans on making an updated video answering a lot of them hopefully this video helped out some..
Before removing radio because cd won't eject. Disconnect batteries for a few minutes, then reconnect. It fixed my problem ! Just trying to save you some time and money .
How can I get to the bottom of where the radio is suppose to go ? I took my radio out and my ring fell inside the gap where the radio should be ! Is there any way I could get to the bottom of it I tried putting my hand in but it’s so small of an opening
Yes I'm not going to change the radio, I'm going to charge some little bulbs on the heater ac control i was wondering how to open that panel thanks again
this radio in this 07 It has a digital band, I cant remember what it is as its some thing I never used as a guess if your up grading to one of them and the model truck was not equipped with it you might need to also add the receiver that's for the xm radio and possibly change a harness it might be easier to install a double din aftermarket unit
this truck does not have the factory upgraded system look at this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4y6lI5bLNCI.htmlsi=i5oNKlUSzYNGJEGs
Wife’s truck I had a spare good working stock unit to exchange it out but I was mostly just covered the how to install I have other videos installing upgraded head unit in another one of my dodge trucks with the steering wheel controls
My truck is a standard transmission and I don't know if that has anything to do with the 7 mm bolts that you took out, but they are not there. I don't want to break anything I don't know what to do.
@@Mattsneedforspeed thanks. It's verified I just seen a RU-vid video where some guy had to take the whole thing apart from this cup holder up just to get to this area. Thanks again for the quick reply, everything helps when so frustrated!
Yes and no there’s standard radio and nav but when replacing it with single or double you will need a kit for a double you will need to trim what I call the bezel for the install kit depending on what one you get here is a link to one I did ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FXkSPs0BMo0.html
Crap,,,I just paid a couple of guys at the audio store $55 to do this,,,And I've been a electrician for over 38 yrs..The last video I saw about this the guy took the WHOLE top AND bottom out. CRAP!!!!
this is a common comment they are not to hard to find and not to easy to see just feel for them i do plan to do a second video thats updated covering any questions so it helps out others
How the fuck do I do this on a manual. The bottom piece is different I guess cause there's no way I'm getting it off that fast. I tried for half hour and got it stuck halfway so fuck my life
I've been asked that a fue times i should have included that but under the bezel at the btm there's 2 holes one on each side if you fit can look up in there if you remove the cup holder i plan on remaking this and adding that to the video.. sorry for letting that out hopefully you got it installed
