having the same exact problem. replaced the starter and still no crank some times. maybe 1 out of 10 times it starts. key fob has new batteries. will lock and unlock doors. all lights will come on but will not start
@shawnmiles4033 I figured it out. It was a plug under the steering column. Apparently there's a anti theft steering column lock box under the steering wheel.
I just had this problem. Underneath the steering wheel pull the plastic out and unplug and replug the motor of the steering wheel. Not sure what its called...steering wheel locking control module.not sure. Mine after a.bad jump start to someone's car and I distorted the module and needed to reboot it.. the problem is underneath the steering wheel
Yes sir!! Been trying everything on YT and this fixed it. Not sure which wire harness so I unplugged everything under the steering wheel. Attached everything bk and wallah! Kudos my guy!
EX25 maybe helps you. First replace 3V battery in your key, and try to start. Then check auto accumulator. If still no start, disconnect "-" on accumulator and do diagnostic. Check power fuses (140A to 60A), they are just on accumulator "+". Then check small fuses (left front seat, near left leg, and fuses in IPCM module - it is near accumulator). If all fuses are ok, you should check also few relays connected with ignition and fuel pump. So you are here ------ No engine start, but driver boards lites on, ACC and fuses seams ok, after you switch on - Intellegeng Key lamp on board and motor fans switches on. This means ECM block is in big error, or immobiliser block doesn't give ECM block enable signal for safe start. Most probably it is because of bad contact or water on in CAN-line between IPCM, ECU, BCM, Immobiliser. You DONT NEED new ECU or rewrite new keys. Dont forget "-" ACC should be disconnected before you touch electric. Just unplug and plug connectors to this modules, if you see a dirt\ water - clean it. IF ther is a water on you carpet - check BCM and Immodbilizer first. Otherwise - dismount IPCM and take it home. Just leave it for a day, to make dry, if you dont have electric skills and dont want to check it inside. Also, there is one more critical place, it is big wire line under accumulator (dismount ACC, dismount plate under it).
@BestCarFixes I have the same problem with my 2009 g37x, I would like to know if I have already solved this problem. Please your answer would help me a lot.
i intermitenly have this problem with my 08 G35x ,, i have 2 fobs and both baterys are new in the, and they both lock , unlock the car but when you press the break and ignition , the lights all come on but the key symbol in the dash is lit and car just wont start,, you know the fob responds as the doors lock or unlock ,, and the 2 or 3 times the car has done this to my , i would play with the steering wheel tilt motor switch and then press the break and igniton and eventually it will start back up and i can go a few months or weeks without any issues ,, very weird
