Offered for sale is this absolutely gorgeous 2007 Lincoln Town Car, an Executive L (long wheelbase) model in classic black over beige leather, and with only 64K miles and one prior owner. All original from front to back, this car has been dealer maintained, garage kept, and babied since new. This Fleet car was a privately owned limousine, used for and by one person since new. The interior is full of rich leather and remains immaculate, with dual power front seats, power everything, rear audio controls, and terrific passenger comfort. Fresh Michelins ride on the factory alloy wheels, and this car is a stunner in every way from front to back. Do not miss this one - it's good for hundreds of thousands of miles!

I never really understood why the Lincoln Town Car was the US 'standard' for luxury, until I had a ride in one. Although we have (well, had) LWB locally made luxury cars here in Aus, neither had the room of a Town Car, nor the smooth ride. This era of cars has been forsaken for SUVs, and it's a damn shame IMO.

It's all cyclical, and often relative to oil prices. Between '09 and '14, gasoline prices were high, people turned to the Smart, the Mini, the 500, and so forth. Now times are good, people want to live large. Today's SUVs are simply the enormous and grotesque big block cars of the 60s and early 70s. Cheers 👍

The Town Car is THE car. I just sold my 2002 Cartier. Made me sick to sell it, but it was starting to rust. 417,000 miles on it and never did any major work. Just routine maintenance. Fantastic car. Also own a 2006 Town Car. 150,000 on that one, signature limited trim level in pearl white over beige leather. I guess the town car went out of style. The last of the body on frame big, SAFE, American land yachts. Dated looks and not much technology inside but I think the TC has such a dignified appearance, it has presence for sure. My third car is a 2010 S550. Also pearl white over beige leather. Comparing the TC to the S class is apples and oranges. The S class was more than double the cost of the TC when new! Reliability on the S class is NOWHERE near that of the TC. The S class is like having a high maintenance wife. Needs constant attention and outrageously expensive to repair. I’ve got 72,000 miles on mine and I’ve replaced the adjustable fluid filled engine mounts TWICE. Electronic problems, transmission problems, dynamic / massage seats problems, you name it, it will break. It’s fast, and has a pillowy ride (for a German car) but for longevity, virtually no repairs, silky smooth ride,the TC wins hands down.

The L (long) version is pretty easy to spot. Look at that smaller fixed window in the back. It's about as wide as the full door handle below it. I have a Signature Limited and that window is about half as wide as the door handle. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound system. Factory stereo/speakers put out a very rich and loud sound. It almost sounds like it has subwoofers. The way to tell is to listen to Dream On by Aerosmith. There's a very low bass blast in the song right around "books written pages". You're not going to hear that note with normal speakers. You can definitely hear it in the Lincoln. Bring an Aerosmith CD if you're looking to buy one. There's no such thing as a short Town Car. If you get one, you will want to practice backing into a parking spot. The key to this is the inside back tire. Look in the side mirror as you're cutting the turn. Once the inside back tire clears the other car, it becomes nearly impossible for you to hit into it. So as soon as that inside back tire clear the grill of the other car, you can safely look at the other mirrors and straighten out the car. Nice clean back-in every time.

And had rear facing jumpseats. Was promoted more towards business people who didn't/couldn't pull up to a client in an ostentatious limousine. Held 5 in the back and one other passenger in the front....I loved it, but it wasn't marketed enough and mostly went out as regular town car price....it was a looker, I gave it the name "Tweener" as it was in between a sedan and limousine

This was the last true modern American luxury automobile. Not a car, an automobile. I love large sedans/limos. The A8, 7 Series, S Class, and Town Cars are my favorite big cars. Not bling, not overly chrome, no attention seeking. Just an understated ship, pure luxury car. Truly is a shame they stopped building these beasts. In my opinion today’s Lincolns/Cadillacs don’t compare to these, at least not in the way that it solely focuses on doing luxury.

I bought my 2011 town car about 3 weeks ago from an auction with 340k miles however it runs just like new and no drop of oil leak under. I'm amazed by the quality and simplsity of these town cars. On top of that parts are dirt cheap, changed my rear air shocks for 87 dollar each, same part cost 500 on a S class Mercedes. What am trying to say is town car is the best afdordable luxury sedan ever built.

I just bought a 1997 Lincoln Towncar signature series with one owner, little old lady just couldn’t drive anymore. 117,240 miles. Super nice car. Garage kept. Paid $2900 but I think it’s a steel for the condition.

I have in 2003 Lincoln Town car signature in Black, and you're right , it is the most luxury car I've ever owned, I have on the BMW 328i and a Mercedes and for the money you cannot beat the Town car, it may not be fast it may not be nimble on the turns, it may not have all gadgets and lights inside but what you have is a true American classic touring luxury car, very easy to fix you can find parts anywhere, very very reliable and the majority of them reach anywhere from 400,000 to 600,000 with no problem or major repairs, I wish they brought the town car back but definitely with a V8 and rear wheel drive and with all the luxury space that we love especially the trunk space,

Absolutely beautiful car. I've always loved Lincolns and in my opinion it's the best American car brand hands down. I like how you mentioned that Cadillac can't touch these right when I was thinking the same exact thing.

This is CAR, why Lincoln do not produce this kind of limo, its better than S class, I do not like German cars to much, regards from Serbia.
@ArtIV

Lincoln stopped producing them in 2011, due to safety regulations. The body & chassis weren't changed much. And when they did the test, it failed. If the safety regulations were a bit more forgiving. We would've seen the Town Car until 2017. Even now Chrylser is stopping the production of the 300, 2020 is the last year for it.

Very humorous narration. I recently bought an 2006 Signature Limited with 49,000 original miles in old lady silver blue and gray leather interior. Compared to this L I feel like I've bought a sports car. Still, everything Bill says about Town Cars in general, and this series in particular, is true. They insulate you from the noisy outside world, protect you from bumps in the road, and pretty much make owning and driving one a Zen experience. At times I feel like Juilia Sugarbaker toodling around town in it, but I live in Las Vegas and needed something that keeps me cold in the triple degree heat we suffer through from May to the middle of October. And the Lincoln certainly does that. The auto climate control takes care of me without me having to think about it. Show me another full size car that gets 26 miles to the gallon and alerts you when you're lead--footing too much and I bet you can't. I hope to keep my 06 looking and driving like a new car for many years. It's sad that Lincoln threw in the towel and is trying to compete with Volvo, Cadillac, BMW and Genesis with their new Continental. I'm convinced they could still take back their old market with a redesigned four wheel drive Town Car that also included center opening doors like the classic old Continentals of the 1960s,

The trunk lid should be motorized and operated by the key fob. Also, the plastic V8 housing that is attached to the top of the engine is missing, unless it's in the trunk. Just a couple of missed details for a prospective buyer to look for. I own one like it, but in black.

Love those Lincolns! I have an '06 TC Executive and I love that car! My Dad was a Lincoln man and had an '81 '85 and '89 Town Car. His first car was a 1947 Zephyr which belonged to my grandfather. Hmmmm, I guess you could say we are Lincoln lovers! To this day I still have people telling me how much they love my car which is white with the creme leather interior. Anyone who thinks it's cool to have a car you need a shoe horn to get into and when driving down the road your kidneys are rattled by a lousy suspension is nutz!
