Agree and Garmin avionics for the experimental airplanes are very inexpensive!

LoL this one had a small engine, slow cruise. 140 at 4500 ft in low da in SoCa. The typical engine is a lycoming 390, 160-165 kts cruise at 9000. 10.4 gph. And for $280k, its about 130k above what its really worth. This thing has a spartan interior, just a little light on avionics (there could have been a garmin g3x or GTN750 on the right side or back up steam gauge on right and glass on left, and some insulation panels, airbag safery harnesses, more comfortable seats, etc. Excessively low time is concerning like a vehicle not driven much. Now, if it was near 1200 hrs and $140k I'd think about it but theres nicer early to mid 1960's older struted 210's, 285 hp-300 hp with panel upgrades with 600-900 hrs before tbo for 140-165knor a muney J or K that'll do 170kts, 800 nm or 1600 nm on ext range fuel, low time for same 140k. Might not be quite as roomy but hey. I got a quote on RV8A fully built with builder assist from Vans and a farther & son team that can finish in 2 mo and worth it, but a fully built, assist, partial glass, partial round gauge, autopilot, tinted sude windows, insulation for sound and temps, basic wrap /no paint except corrosion, ready to fly for under 190k. So this older 50% RC10 lite basic base model is half the price because it is 40% less plane than 75% of post 2005 builds in terms of options and as equipped.

I am also not a fan of the main gear so close together. Causes unstability in x winds.

I think flying a lot of different airplanes over my career has benefited me in that I don’t get accustomed to one sight picture. Look down the runway for depth perception, stick with the POH/AFM speeds.

Not for long. No inverted system.

Excellent aircraft for primary/instrument training provided experienced CFI. It is possible to take check rides in experimental aircraft.

Pretty much every time someone comments about an airplane we feature on this channel being over-priced, we end up selling it for very close to what we’re asking. You’re suggesting this airplane is $100 - $130K over-priced?

@@FlyingwithRich being an RV10 owner yes. Just like housing this plane market will be coming down with it. I already see it 10-20%. I was right in 08 and am right on this too. I repo planes as well. I’m the last guy to debate on the subject. His is also the only one on market that has base model set up. The one that sold last week didn’t go for $300k was newer and had a great interior and panel. Again, they’re all coming down just like housing. You can’t change that.

Not what I see - been selling airplanes for 30 years. Every one has an opinion - I get that but based on the calls I have received on this airplane. You assessment of the value is way off.

@@FlyingwithRich I am. I’m banking on it. Last week alone paying on doors to walk and assume. It’s here and stage 2 was confirmed by todays interest rates. This RV has been listed for months. So I’m as usual correct.
