This is a walkthrough process of using Appcar DiagFCA software version 1.7 to enable remote start activation on 2008 - 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country.
Items you'll need:
1. New keys with remote start activation: shorturl.at/nszIP
2. OBD2 connector - I use Vgate vLinker FS OBD2: shorturl.at/bkHU9
3. 1k ohm resistor: shorturl.at/jm167
4. Appcar DiagFCA software $29.95 USD for 1 VIN: appcar-diagfca.com/en/place-o...

Steps:
00:00 Intro
01:33 Insert 1k ohm resistor into hood ajar module as a bypass (or buy the actual hood ajar switch and bracket): shorturl.at/fPQ04
02:48 Plug in OBD2 scan tool and open Appcar DiagFCA software.
04:19 Navigate to Diagnostic - TIPMCGW - and filter for "TIPM Configurable Inputs: Reconfigurable Input 2"
05:07 Click edit and change value to Hood Ajar Switch and Save.
05:38 In the same navigation Diagnostic - TIPMCGW - filter for "Vehicle Configuration 1: Remote Start". Click edit and change value to Set and Save.
06:07 Navigate to Diagnostic - WCM - Routines - Read PIN Code. Run the routine and copy/write down your PIN code.
06:45 Reset WIN Configuration: Navigate to Diagnostic - WCM - Routines - Reset WIN Configuration. Enter PIN code from step 7 and run.
07:34 Program Keys: Navigate to Diagnostic - WCM - Routines - Program Ignition Keys or Key FOBs. Insert new keys with remote start button and 2 clicks to ON. Enter in PIN code from step 7. Run the routine to program the new keys.
10:12 Try the remote start with the new keys by clicking the remote start button twice.
10:25 If remote start does not work, drive the car for 5-10 minutes and then try the remote start again.

I went into the settings and did everything that you I have a 2010 Dodge Grand caravan. I went into the ECM modular. Went to reconfig changed it to hood switch it said okay. Then I went to vehicle remote to put it to set. Click next it put it back to not set . Then I went to the. And I typed in ECM. I looked at the list. Found ECM remote start false and it does not give you the option to change. Do you have any idea the reason why the ECM will not accept the modified

I think you're still stuck on 5:38 where you need to have the Vehicle Configuration: Remote Start and have that edited to Set first. If it still says "Not Set", try it again or even unplug and reconnect and try again. But you definitely won't be able to go to next steps until this process is completed.
