Great vid, you’ve done quite a few things to/for your 4.8i…are you a mechanic by trade? Had schooling? I do most of my own work (on my 09 4.8i) as well but I don’t go into it with the confidence that you seem to have! lol

I’m actually in IT. What’s driven me are two things. I’m cheap and the shops overcharge for things. So I thought it’s not rocket science and it all comes down to, it’s either a nut, a bolt, or a screw. So how hard can it be. With regards to the work, a lot of things have been preemptive or customizations. Some things like the coolant leak or the heater control valve have been real problems with the car. That being said, I do have other issues that have popped up that I have to deal with. Like the water pump (this is tied to the coolant leak and I guess I stirred things up my doing the thermostat and coolant lines), a misfire on cylinder 4, and the dreaded oil leak on the oil thermostat (AKA the alternator bracket for the older models). Anyway these things come with older vehicles and that’s normally why they’re so cheap. Thanks for tuning in…
