@@newtz_garage been dead in my driveway for about a year. Took I finally to a mechanic and if your timing belt gets thrown, long story, new motor! Ughhh! New used moter, 80k not 165k like my old one came out of a 4 door heavy car. Same 1.4 Litre but tuned differently. Walaha, smaller weight, more ponies…eek!! Still, motor, parts, labor…3k . Worth it? Oh hell yess!!!

The auto is a 4 speed and the manual is a 5 speed. Different ratios for the gears, and the manual puts the power down a lot better. The automatic isn't the worst transmission ever, it's good for what it is. But with age and abuse, it gets worse and worse. I plan to build the transmission for power when I get there, but right now, it does the job okay. It'll hiccup a little, sluggish to shift sometimes, and struggles in first gear. But for high mileage and being beat up all the time, it works well enough for now. But straight up with nothing done, the manual is a better choice.

Relatively new, yeah. It's a Kenwood RGB unit. There are tons and tons of install kits, stereos, and even touchscreen units that fit and work with it. Head over to Crutchfields website and play around over there. So many good options and kits. I plan on upgrading and playing with the system even more, so stick around as I'm hoping to get to that before too long!

@@odysseyexodus1520 get the Alpine touch screen version it is a nice setup.

I haven't replaced it yet, but will be upgrading the fuel system eventually. The system is very similar to a lot of other modern cars, and the fuel filter is a part of the fuel pump assembly located in the fuel tank, under the rear seat. @@tylerangel4073 She just rolled over 170k. Getting old and the transmission is tired, almost time to tear everything out and rebuild for boost

I guess that really depends on your familiarity with cars in general, but I'd say it's pretty easy to work. Finding parts is easy enough, just takes a little looking. Aftermarket parts are a little harder to find sometimes, but they're out there. Aside from alignments, tire rotations, AC work, timing belt service, I've done everything else in the past 15k miles or so.

@@miller038 Gotcha. The 4g Eclipse is definitely a bit of a "rare" sight, and not too many get appreciated. The 6g75, which is the v6, is also a great motor so keep that in mind. But best of luck finding one! Let me know if you have any other questions

Of course! As far as reliability, as long as you take care of all fluids and regular maintenance, healthy start cycling, and just general checkup of the car, they are extremely reliable and you can beat on them and not worry. You just have to look out some things going with age, like motor mounts, fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, alternator, brakes, sway bars, tie rods, all general things to pay attention to in general, but especially at higher mileage. Take care of it, and don't worry about it. Fuel consumption though, haha. If you drive reserved and relaxed, it can be good for what it's rated at. With everything done right now, last time I drove pretty conservative and calculated the tank, I got 23 mpg, versus about 13-17mpg with constant redline and manual shifting and highway pulls and such. Once you start having fun and getting wild with it, it will drink everything, especially if you engage Mivec a lot, which is around 3.5k+rpm. But when I got 23mpg, and 21mpg the tank before, I was still driving pretty good, taking off nice and cruising good, but only doing about 8 mile trips back and forth to work. If you have a longer commute, expect better. Hope this helps give you an idea, let me know if you have any other questions! (Also, this is the 2.4. I don't have personal experience with the 3.8, but you can expect a lot of the same, just with a lot more power😂)

@@newtz_garage Thank you for your detailed answer! I live in europe so fuel consumption is a bit important for me because of the prices. Also that is why most of the Eclipse's in Europe has Gas conversation ;). I usually drive relax. So high performance is not important for me. And it seems 163 HP is enough. Now, i am driving a 1.5 L turbo diesel with 110 HP. Although the weight of the car (I guess 1700 kg), this power makes me feel fast. The Eclipse I am looking is 2005. It has a red colour and LPG system. It has a miles about 180.000 Km. And the car is full stock. What u think? Is it a good deal?

@@Mr.Vercetti80 Of course! And I completely understand, definitely not the most efficient vehicle, but good enough when you need it to be. How much are they asking for that one?

@@newtz_garage The one I'm looking is 4000 euros. And most of the GS models are around 4000-6000 euros. 3.8 GT models are really depends about how stock or how modded the car is. But a normal 3.8 GT is around 10.000 euros. Spider models are much more expensive.
