Most 2008 Ford 6.4L diesel trucks don't use a transponder key and ring. However there is still a Security Parameter Reset that needs to be performed if the pcm or gauge uster is replaced. The vehicle will not start until it's completed.
I have a few used modules I have been wanting to mess around with, just have not had the time. Thanks for sharing to make others aware what they may run into (I see it in the field all the time) .
I changed the battery in my 2011 E350 van and now I’m getting a security padlock on the dash. Can you point me in the right direction so I don’t have to have it towed to the dealership?
if you do a both keys lost reset you can fix it also reset then put new key 1 turn to run 3sec then off then key 2 turn to run 3sec then remove all keys for 3min, both keys should be programed at that point im not sure witch scanners can do it i do know most the newer autels do.
I have a 2008 f-350 that after it sat for a couple months the security light flashes and won't allow it to start. It just started this without changing any parts out
Ford f350 2008 diesel 6.4 Car was cranking no start , replaced ecm with another one Now security light flashing giving the code 23 by flash pattern So i put the original ecm back , still the security light flashes giving code 16 Also the owner don't have a key that opens the doors , the key he have only works for ignition Is there a way to override this pats system cause he doesn't need it ( actually it's a company cars , so the cars don't need anti theft system cause the doors always open )
I have same problem battery went dead installed new batteries and no crank did a parameter reset but keys won't program could it be the cluster messed up, or do i but a new cluster 2008 F450 6.4L king ranch.
I have a 2008 F350 SD. The Brake indicator, TPMS, Door ajar, are all on. The blinkers work, but don't indicate on the dash, just on the exterior (where it matters, I guess.) The radio also doesn't power on with all these faults but has power going to it. The backlight to the dash stays on and now I have to pull the negatives off the battery to keep it from dying. I've replaced the BCM as that is what most of the research points to, but that didn't fix it. A few forums said it could be a bad instrument cluster. Have you seen this error before? Thank you
@@IntegratedAutoModules The corrosion is on the large white plug in on the passenger side behind the kick panel where the fuse box/bcm is. There was a leak from the sunroof and water was dripping down in that area so it is hopefully that.
Just seeing this now. Did you figure it out? Try reflash. The corrupt location in memory is luckily holding an instruction that hasn't completely f'ed the vehicle.
