I have a 2002 Ford F-150 and it’s in anti theft mode!! I need help on what to do if this isn’t working. I’ve tried multiple things, any information message me directly on gmail. Matthewsantos38@gmail.com
I have 2003 f150 . I change cluster to 1 fit my truck old was no good put new 1 in now will not start . put old 1 back it start . say you need to change vin number were i got it. What you did will that help me ? Thank you.
Ok guys if your steering wheel and ignition key won’t turn, turn the wheel the remove the pressure and then turn the key and you should be set. I’ve been looking around to fix the problem thinking it was all anti theft but it’s just the steering wheel lock.
Dude I tried everything & watched so many videos and, your solution was the only one that worked so glad I saw your comment it fixed in like 3 seconds. 🥰
Bcott Studios I ended up taking the entire battery out and then back in again to reset. We all know how insanely tight those same things are way back in there. In the titanium anyway. Got it going though. Colossal pain in the ass
Damn Damn Damn. Ford need a hella of a class action lawsuit I'm sorry these so called smart engineers know what can happen in the long run when operating vehicle systems. But yet make it look good the cheapest way with systems they only can fix the right way so they can get triple payed all around that's how many car company stay at float supply and demand
In the end I believe I heard it start, did you just drive it with the flashing THEFT light on and FTW? Mine is having the same flashing issue, except when I set the alarm on it goes away and when it starts it goes away. Every other time ie when the key is on acc or the key is removed it will flash continuously. Pretty fucking irritating. Thanks in advance for your reply.
So with at least the Ford SecuriTheft system on my 2011 Escape, I read the manual and it says that the system arms automatically when the car is turned off, which is weird as I either never noticed it before or it just started happening.
Well I was on the phone with the so-called Master mechanic at Dodge dealership and I asked him if I pay them the $500 plus dollars to reset my anti-theft system and the truck starts and I drive away can I just have somebody take all that shit out of my truck and he says that would be near impossible to get rid of your anti-theft system it would be so much work
Not sure what's going on with your truck I don't know if you have any way to respond but I had an issue with mine I have an 03 Lariat and it would turn over but wouldn't start and sometimes it would start I thought it was the fuel pump so after I change the fuel pump same problem that I noticed the theft light but it would always turn over but sometimes it would not start and it turns out it was a module in the steering column like behind the shifter I don't remember what it was called but I had to have that replaced problem solved hope this helps there is also a plug on the top of the steering column that I had issues with it's on the top left and it's kind of a weird shaped but the module I believe is a little bit further down somewhere behind the shifter I'm not sure my mechanic replaced it like I said problem solved
Well our problem was a electrical cord got cut on the passenger side when we turned, and over time the cord gave out we replaced and everything works fine now
This is the 3rd ford i've had in the last couple of years and they all do this at stupid times you don't know what you did to fix it cause magicaly it works again sometimes and watch out on the Jeep Cherokees same problem a mechanic told me theres a wire in the rear door you have to cut to make it run again but he couldn't remember which one he cut. I'm got a Ford F 150 in my driveway now that is being stupid F_ _ _ Fords.
I have 96 Buick lesabre it starting but battery terminal is getting contact enough keep car running.it staled then security light flashing won't turn over at all now
Turn key forward till all lights on dash stay lit up without turning over to start, wait 10-15 mins and it should read key. My guess is its anti theft. But this should help.
Actually yes, the problem was when we turned a electrical cord was cut on the passenger side, we had to replace and get it fixed and that resolved the issue.
