Buehrle holds the distinction of being the only pitcher in MLB history to face a complete game minimum 27 batters - THREE times. 1) a perfect game. 2) a no hitter with 1 walk, picked the man off first base. 3) a 1 hitter with no walks, next batter hit into double play.

Absolutely perfect timing! Was Ozzie still the manager at that point? If so, this is his second greatest moment as White Sox manager behind the 2005 World Championship!

@Ulysses432 it's managing 101, but watch Robin Ventura and Ricky Rentera flub that decision and leave Podsendik in center if they were managing that game. Damn I miss Ozzie.

What an incredible call by Hawk Harrelson. That man signifies what it meant to be the voice of a team. The passion is just electric and adds so much to the moment.

I think Buehrle had a couple other games where he faced the minimum of 27 batters. One was a no hitter where the only base runner reached via a walk. He was picked of first, I believe. The other, I think, was where Buehrle gave up one hit, but runner was eliminated in double play.
