I have a bit of an odd question. I got a 2015 Focus ST with catch can for the pcv. Would anything bad happen if I filled the catch can with valve cleaner and cold started the car and let it idle for a few minutes? I was thinking this might be beneficial to do a few times a year. To help keep things cleaned up. We have very cold winters, and I have missed dumping catch can a few times. I'm getting 4-6oz. a week depending on the weather. My logic says it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm also not an expert like you.

Something to note that many don't know, the more common clamps have a stainless band but steel screw that'll rust away. You want to buy one that's marked "all stainless" so that it lasts. Once the screw rusts the clamp can slip and altho they loosen enough to stop being effective, they tend to get locked up and hard to remove.

2013 F150 at 111k miles started having this after it's last oil change... Was pretty annoying rattle while idle or at very low speeds 10-20mph. Was afraid of what the dealership would diagnose & charge. $3.50 stainless steel hose clamp from Home Depot later, it's gone! So easy. Didn't even need to put it on block or anything. Thank you so much for this video 🤘🏼

Amazing. You have fixed the two year old noise in my truck. I have asked Ford service two if not three times to find that noise and they can’t find it. I used a two cent Harbor freight zip tie to check if that was the noise. And it was, so I’m on my way to the auto parts store or Home Depot to grab a two and three-quarter inch stainless steel worm drive clamp. Thank you so much!

I never would have found this without your video! My clamp was still on and looked fine. It was corroded through at the top, which also solved another mystery. When I pulled it off it had a few drops of water on it even though it hasn't rained in weeks. I have been seeing about a tablespoon or two of water on my carport randomly right under this area for a few years and never could figure out where it was coming from. Wasn't AC condensation as it happens in winter too. Must be some rain or road spray that takes it's sweet time draining right on top of that band causing it to corrode. Thank you sir

My 2016 has been doing the same thing. You just saved me a trip to the dealer. I had that horrendous circular saw noise coming from my truck at cold start. It recently got louder, I assume because the old band fell the rest of the way off. It was a simple 2 minute fix and only cost $3.49.

I had this happen on my 2015, fixed it the exact same way with chocked wheels and a low profile creeper. Took a stainless band clamp off a used burial grade Fernco Coupling (reduce, reuse, recycle! The rubber was gone so it was trash anyways). Hasn’t rattled in over a year since, 10/10 would recommend, just from a peace of mind perspective. Takes even less time than watching the entirety of this video!
