stop buying new cars they are made to break and cost you money buy 2006 or below atleast its cheap to run and if you do the oil change you can get 300 k out of it
word of caution when replacing existing block heaters (they will eventually corrode and fail)... there is nothing stopping the nut from coming off when you back the bolt out, so don't back the bolt out too far. I lost a block heater nut into my cummins. It hasn't caused any problems but not something you want to do if you can help it.
so, I have an 05 f350, I'm guessing I have the smaller one. What's the repair for that style? Are the solenoids someplace else where I can hopefully fix? My pump seems fine and my lines seem to be ok. I can wait till my pump stops and remove a line and it will start pumping again until I reinstall the line, give it a few seconds and pump will turn off. What's the fix for the smaller unit?
Hi and thanks for all of your hard work and detailed video's. I wanted to know can all this be applied to an 02 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0? I have no check engine or service engine light or codes. I was driving and out of nowhere the O/D OFF light started flashing. I pulled over, turned it off and then restarted it. When I turned it back on the light was off. I proceeded to leave and when I got around 30mph I was having issues taking off. I had high revvs and it acted like it didn't want to go anywhere but after a few seconds it did. I am not the original owner of this vehicle so I have no clue of how often the previous owner checked the transmission fluid. Also there is no dipstick for me to know how much is in. The pan is under the bottom and is sealed. I'm really anxious because I do everything to keep this thing running like new. Please help. Thanks
Do you mind sharing the new torque spec for the exhaust phaser. I am DIY. I have the workshop manual for my 2018, so it only shows the torque for the old style. Thank you
Thank You!! I just did a timing set on a 5.4 3v and could not get any cabin heat after. You're videos are so professional and to the point, unlike the rest. Thank you again for putting the time in.
One question, for the underside of cars and trucks, I'm not talking abotu the frame but the body itself, has those rubbery seam sealers, would lanoline product melt those rubbery sealers?
I know that this is an old video but I had a sticking brake on a brand new caliper today. I tested for friction before and after putting the wheel on and there was no problem. A short test drive and one brake was smoking. I jacked the car back up and there was no friction when turning the wheel so I referred to RU-vid. Some guy posted a video from 2014 with the same problem, turns out it was the clamp that you are pointing to with your middle finger at 3:39. I have no idea why but it seems like that clamp can eventually restrict the flow of the brake fluid, he said it was from the rust build up pinching the hose, (I don't know if that's true or not). I used a flat bar to ever, ever so slightly open up that clamp where is holds the hose and that solved the problem. Hope this helps someone else.
Thanks for all the great videos. Was wondering if the hose clips were actually split at factory due to over crimping? Also wondering if a spilt clip isn't leaking couldn't you wrap the clip with high pressure rubber tape and then snug up a hose clamp around it to prevent the clip from splitting more to prevent a leak? Thanks...Werner
I have spent more $$$$ on 2015 Ford Explorer. Than my 2013 GMC, 2017 Chevrolet combined!! Steering wheel, key fobs, camera, door panels unglued, pillar trim, ABS system, and motor mounts.
I've been using cheap eBay parts for years on all of my cars and never had any issues and don't even know anyone that's had any issues using the cheap eBay coil packs I just put one in my pathfinder with 60,000 Mi because the OEM One failed at 60,000 MI
My 2017 is still under extended warranty, it goes in and the oil pan is leaking as usual. How can i get them to replace the oil pan with the one piece? I'll pay for the pan at least!

Chrysler had this problem for a while. The after market O2 sensor was so out of spec that it cause O2 errors with a new one installed. You had to go get an OEM O2 sensor for it to work.
I'm having this these same codes right now. The MAF has been replaced, and hoses appear to be connected and fine. I'm thinking o2 sensors? It tends to idle funny at times.
My sons truck indicator was way off now it just quit working all together do you think the cable is broke or maybe it’s just that far out of adjustment with my work schedule I haven’t had time to tear into it yet
This video was very professional. Thank you! I bought my truck new in November 2004, have 108,600 on it, love this truck. Gas door latch spring minor imperfection.
My 2001 f150 5.4 tritton replaced new timing chain set. My 5.4 had 237,000 tensioners was fine but now the new plastic guides broke 3,000 miles later. So not buying any plastic tensioner made of plastic is junk hope i can find cast iron timing chain guides that dont break. My old timing chain guide broke into 4 peices. Been working on every vehicle i owned and family, friends.
Great video. However, I just thought that I would share that after removing my entire ABS unit and checking the wiring from end to end, I still couldn't find the break in my wiring. I was ready to replace the wiring from end to end and decided to test the pigtail from the harness to the sensor. I found an open circuit on the red/pink wire with my meter, but could not locate the fault. In the end, the red/pink wire was broken right where it enters the plug, There was not enough wire left to even solder so I found a new connector online. I'm now heading back to reassemble the braking system and bleed the brakes. What a hassle!!!
Thank you for all the information, great video! So you're saying the pickup tube needs to be the longer one. Is that the pickup tube from the 2011-2024 F150?
This needs to be listed as a P.M. install. If it’s leaking- or even if you’re having no trouble with it - you will- save yourself headaches or potential bigger problem- AND CHANGE THIS PART!
