Customer stated that their blower fan was only working on high speed for quite awhile and now the blower doesn't work on any speed. Found that the blower motor and resistor are faulty.
Nice camera work. At 1:45 is that a blend door actuator to the right of the flashlight? Working on a 2008 Focus no heat (blower and resistor good) and have ruled out everything else (from T-Stat to Core) and I think you just resolved my no heat problem! I only thought it had the two on right side...
Well detailed video. I tried to detach the wire clip from my blower but it won't come off. Seems stuck. Tried everything possible even pushing the removal clip. What could I do?
Sometimes they be difficult. Try pushing the connector in, pushing the release tab and pull back on the connector. It should come. Check to see if the connector is burned. If the plastic is melted the connector end and the blower motor would have to replaced anyway. Thanks for watching. Good luck!!!
Thanks for the information. I have a question for you. I have a 2008 Focus with the blower motor that is stuck on low. I've changed the resistor, but there's no change. Any ideas?
I would start by check fuses #37 and #15 behind left side of dash. If ok, check volage with key in run and fan speed set to high at yel/blu wire at resistor. Should have bat voltage. If no voltage, suspect fan speed switch. Also check for ground at blk/wht wire. Thanks for watching.
