I want to thank you for your dedication and hard work in your videos - they are stellar. What distinguishes you from all others is the exactness and attention to detail in your content. When I have questions about the dynamics and peculiarities of the Chinese language, you’re able to answer them. I've been using your video's Subtitles to learn Chinese since you uploaded this video: by repeating out loud exactly what you say... And now Chinese is Muscle Memory (non-stop practice!) and I can understand you on Normal Speed! I just re-watched this video and understand EVERYTHING!

Step 1: Extract the subtitles from video (Use: inspect element) Step 2: Save literally every single line (time-consuming but necessary and worth every moment in the end!) Step 3: Paste to Google Translate and read along the Pinyin Step 4: Repeat aloud every single thing Grace says ***with her*** (this makes the words become *muscle memory* and the sounds & words become understood by your brain quickly, mimicking is the key!) Step 5: After these steps, begin understanding word definitions, the same exact way we learned our first language (hear+repeat first, concern yourself with understanding word definitions later) Enjoy!

5:00, always loved that method of sentence forming in your early videos. It makes it much easier to distinguish words from each other and find parts of the sentence that have moved [due to non SVO structure perhaps.] I bet it takes some time but I'm sure you could streamline the process. Thank you for mentioning that, I do miss it.

😮 謝謝你叫我們這個。我覺得你較很有用的比如說slang, etc. For me RU-vid is more for listening practice and occasional explanation of complex topics, which your channel does very well. Also, as someone who is not in a Chinese speaking country, the suggestions for TV shows and podcasts are very helpful, because that way it’s easier to get exposure.
