Both of my doors are having problems. Where are these rollers you speak of? Mine will open about 10 inches before beeping and closing themselves unless we stop it.
Tip: if you’re door is acting like this and you’re stuck in a parking lot, etc. try this. - Put the car in Drive. Slowly, in can be inches, start to move and hit the close the door anyway you want (remote or panel). My door closes every time. Something needs to be fixed but it will close the door.
The driver sider sliding door came off track, Is there a way to permanently keep shut the door? I just want to be able to use the van buy I will feel better if that door can be permanently shut.
I am researching on the sliding sliding door but I have to find out how to win the cable door system effectively if you have documents about it. thanks in advance
would have loved to see part 2. I wd40 my door and so far it worked with this situation being that a couple weeks before "the mountain " ( game of thrones reference to describe the guy) used his bodyweight to yank and close the door while I was hitting my horn and yelling at him that it was an automatic door
My door did this...then fell off at the grocery store. My husband and I had to catch it before it fell on my daughter. Honda won't do anything about it. It's a 2200$$$ fee at the dealer!!!!!
The rollers are common wear points. This is not Honda's fault. The rollers are a regular part that wears out over time as the doors get used, and you should have replaced them when you first had issues.
@Mike Hannigan Haven't seen this. Usually what happens is the rollers wear down, the door rides on the posts, eventually the posts break because they weren't designed to do that, and when they do, the door falls. All prevented by replacing the rollers when you start having issues.
NOT helpful for me! Mine is a 2010 but I do NOT have this feature in my van at all!!! And my doors are still stuck! Both sliding doors! Mine is not mechanical. They don't slide on their own. You have to open and close them manually. So this is useless.
Sarafina Donald your van if is an Odyssey would have this same problem. The actual lever is covered by a metal guard or trim. It would be better if you seek a tech to help you.
