2010 Toyota Sequioa,... 5.7L V8... Serpentine Belt Replacement! 

For an extra $20, i got the same continental belt, belt tensioner, and idler pulley from rockauto.

With the belt off, it’s a good time to spin all the pulleys to make sure they’re quiet and smooth spinning.

My mechanic just did this as a part of another job. I WAS going to do myself. My teensioner special bolt, M8 50mm hex sheared off. They had to extract the broken bolt. Major Pain. Good thing I dodged a bullet. These parts are low to the ground and can get wet. I would HIGHLY Recommend people to check that bolt and when installing a new tensioner and idler pulley (Dayco/OEM) I would put a dab of oil or anti-sieze on that 'special' M8 50mm tensioner and bolt.

Changed my belt about 10 months ago because it was squeaking. This winter it started squeaking again! Going to change the tensioner pulley next.

Awesome video I watched a few others an they didn’t show that there was a hole to put an allen in to keep tension off while you remove old a put new on.

Alternator just went out while on the highway. Had to have it towed and alternator replaced at a local mechanic shop. Was traveling so I had to wing it based off of reviews. Got my car back up and running but the next day the serpentine belt started squeaking. Is that normal with an alternator replacement. Wasn’t making that sound before. Thanks!

I tried a 3 inch nail. The nail bent.

maybe spin the pulleys and listen for any noise i'm thinking
