2011 Lincoln MKX Review - Kelley Blue Book 

I really like the reviewer's presentation style. She has more charisma than a lot of automotive journalists and also comes across as really knowledgeable.

I rented an MKX and my 7 year old nephew taught me how to use the touch screen and slide bars for me.

I wish they had kept the full-width tail light.

@datboiwes333 Well all things considered, you don't need to use the touch screen or the buttons below. The steering wheel mounted controls work really well because your hands would already be at/on the wheel which they have been on cars for years and haven't been much of a distraction, but for those who don't want to have the touch screen they don't have to buy it. What it boils down to is there are those who are going to do something to get themselves distracted by something they decide to do.

@datboiwes333 I'm with you. A lot of auto reviewers felt that the MyFordTouch, or here in this case, MyLincolnTouch, was a little fussy. Some had it lock up on them. I was reading through sites that Ford and Lincoln dealers will give potential owners a tutorial on how the system is done. The bar system with the radio and ventilation controls can be a little troublesome. But still, its better than BMW's iDrive, which is like a Rube Goldberg project for simple tasks.

Lincoln has created and manufactured really wonderful cars and SUVs. International consumers also demand fullly loaded versions of these cars. Please ship those worldwide. I guess that Americans are skeptical of technical expertises of international technical crews to fix those Lincolns.

@bentleyspotter Well I checked the Lincoln website and other websites selling Lincolns and I did not see anything about vinyl. But that's not to say it isn't vinyl.

All this touch screen stuff in the new Ford vehicles is crazy. I can see having nav touch screen but to have radio and climate control all touch screen is silly. Like Leigh Anne said that shit would make it harder to focus on the road whereas in the car I have now I can just reach down to change a song on the radio or adjust the A/C.

um if you want a sharper MKX why don't you look at a Ford Edge Sport???

How reliable are these? In my area there’s a 2011 mkx fully loaded for 14k with 75k miles is that a good deal?

I love this platform of Lincolns, but maybe they could have continued with the 2009 grill with modifications? That grill is just sexier and all my teenagers/young adults absolutely loved that 2009 MKX❤️.

My SRX is the way to go.

ok..at 1:38, what the hell is up with that kind of "boot up screen" for a radio...I don't want a car full of distractions..i don't want a living room in my car. I don't want a status symbol that says "i have money" if i want to watch TV, I stay home. I if i want to DRIVE..i get in my car, cut off the cell phone..(sometimes the radio) and I do just that. I DRIVE...if this is what Americans like, then no wonder we have no taste in proper handling cars! (i drive a 5-speed Mazda 3 by the way).

fuck suvs/ crossovers. id rather have a family sedan or a wagon. nothing beats a tuned volvo v50.
