I test drove a pre owned 2013 and a brand new 2015 Edge and I think the Lincoln has my vote. But it was close. I like the Lincoln's wedged front end, all you see is road. And of course the luxury aspect inside the MKX.

Good point. Once you get past the distinctive grile, there's too much Edge in the design.

Not quite, but I hear what you're saying. The MKX has the THX certified stereo, adaptive cruise, collision warning and curve control. The 22" wheels on the Edge Sport are now also available on the MKX.

48,905 vs. 40,000 for a fully loaded RDX. RDX is a better bargin IMO. The MKX is not that much bigger, but yeah I guess 365hp is a lot.

the MKX has only a face a mother could love. and the rear tailights look ancient. Backed by Lincoln's lack of reliability and resale values, id spend almost 50 grand elsewhere.

most of the interior is covered in high grade leather ... you need to get those eyes checked ... there are also 2 kinds of real woods offered .... go check it out up close no video can do that.

So I'm looking at a 2013 Lincoln MKX right now. I was going to trade in my 2016 Subaru legacy. My legacy has 102, 600 miles on it. The MKX has 66,500. I was going to trade it in this week but your comment has me a little worried. 😬What did you mean by they went belly up awhile ago?

Lincoln is quite a bit bigger. MKX is a better bargain.

My wife and I drove a 2012 Ford Edge Limited and then went to the Lincoln dealer to drive a 2012 Lincoln MKX. As nice as the Edge was, we went with the Lincoln because it was a lot nicer. The MKX has a more powerful engine, more options, nicer features, and it even rides better. It may share the same platform, but that's where it ends. We couldn't believe how much nicer the MKX was. It's so nice that I leased her a fully loaded '12 MKX and I am buying it for her when her lease is up later this spring. We couldn't be happier with this Lincoln.

It's basically the exact same SUV as a Ford Edge, not much difference between the two and neither is it considered a premium. Same engine, transmission, shifts, leather seats, ride comfort are practically identical. Maybe with a few minor features such as heated/cool seats and such.

I like the screen in the Lexus better but that about it the Lexus looks like a frog vs a eagle look of the mkx

That's really a huge grill (oversized) ....personally I find it a really ugly front....interior isn't better . the 2007-2008 models were ways better looking !!

the interior looks like an old crappy american car interior like old mustangs and stuff where everything was so boxy thats what this car reminds me of. a luxury car thats this much money should be elegant not boxy and remind someone of a muscle car.

I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone has their own opinion but I think this car / suv is really ugly. I don't offer rash opinions like this often. The front end is over stated with the chrome grille and pointy nose and the rest of the car is boring and doesn't live up to the front end's flamboyancy. The inside looked a little disappointing as well and I have the agree that volume control has to go. Am I in the minority about this car's looks?
