I wanted to level out the front of my 2011 f250. This is one brand of the numerous coil spring spacers commonly available for less than $75. I followed the manufacturer's step by step instructions and show them here. The total install took me about an hour. I'm not sure if the f350s and 450's would be the same?
Overall I am satisfied with the end results. It did level my truck, however with the 1.5" spacer I only show about 1" of lift as you can see here. The lift in no way noticeably affected my steering or braking. I was able to squeeze a little more brake line slack than what was shown in the video. After the truck was back on the ground I worked on the slack to make sure I had enough. Whenever performing any suspension modifications always use proper torque specs and BE SURE TO GET AN ALIGNMENT UPON COMPLETION! Thanks for watching!
These are the steps that worked for me, I'm not a professional and am in no way claiming to be the authority on suspension mods so follow at your own risk! Always practice proper safety, use the proper tools and use common sense!

Thanks for taking the time to share this with us! I just bought an 11 that is low in the front and will likely do as you did. Thanks for the help!

Great video! It is generally recommended that suspension bolts be tightened to spec with the wheels on the ground...

Have a question for you if you have the time, I just completed the install on my 2006 for a 2" Sinister kit. My brake line bracket hold s the line in 2 spots making a 90 degree turn. Is there a method to open these to feed a little more slack through without damaging the brake lines? For now I put a slight bend in the bracket so the lines don't rub anywhere through the turning cycle but would rather add about a 1/2" of slack to them. Great video truck looks good

TBH I didnt need to add any slack on mine so I didnt pay much attention to the brackets. I just watched my video and cant really tell if there is a way to feed more line through. Is there a time/scene in this video where you can see the bracket you're referring to?

Yeah I have never seen this type of spacer for the SD. I have Rough Country spring mount 2” spacers. They go under the stock spring mount are square with a lip and made of solid aluminum. They are held in with a long hardened bolt that goes thru the stock spring mount thru the spacer into the the stock threaded hole.. you have to recenter the steering wheel adjustment but everything else stays the same. All very rugged and bolted down. Do it yourself project, you have to take out the bottom of the spring, but no big deal. It will stay in there forever, mine has. $59 and sometimes on sale, good deal. I wouldn’t use the one in this video.

Sounds the same as this one, except yours is square. I cant speak to your spacer (BC I have no experience with it) but I can speak to this one and it has been a peach, no complaints. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment S S. I always appreciate feedback. Be sure to watch some of the other Super Duty how-to's.

Very helpful thanks for the video. Did you just take the wheel off for the video? Can you do this with the front wheels on?

It would be much harder with the wheels on

I did a how-to on adding f350 rear blocks and I think I have the measurement near the beginning of the video

Excuse me,but why aren't all these trucks being leveled at the factory. I Mean I see all these people on you tube doing videos .Why can't Automaker's come up with a level truck?
@SeanBrennan007
@SeanBrennan007 3 года назад
Agree. The 2020's have a shorter block in the rear now as compared to a 2019 for example. This is with an F350 I should mention. So the rear sits a tad lower which in turn levels things out a bit more.

I just measured mine the way you measured yours and mine sits at 42 inches I have the snow plow package I guess I don’t need a leveling kit it’s a 2019 250 super duty

so if that is a 1.5" front leveling kit why did it only add 1" of height
@unitedstatesofbuild4915
@unitedstatesofbuild4915 6 лет назад
That's a good question for the manufacturer. If I was going to blame it on anything it would be on tired springs (215k miles) but a 1.5" spacer should raise you 1.5" no matter the spring wear, right?
@mkbmj
@mkbmj 6 лет назад
That spacer looks shady as shit. Shy not just get a new coil spring?
@unitedstatesofbuild4915
@unitedstatesofbuild4915 6 лет назад
New coils is an option. It should be noted that 'new coils' are more commonly known as a 'lift kit' and no one sells a lift kit for less than $50 (price of spacers). If a front lift spacer isnt your cup of tea then by all means price shop for a lift. But if your going to lift it 1" then maybe just go to 4", it'll look better :) only a few $hundred& more. If your going to lift it then you may as well throw some rims on, the shop will give you a package discount. They might even throw in a 6" exhaust tip. Anyways, thanks for stopping by! check out some of the other super duty how-to's PS The spacer has been golden, for me, prob wont work for you though. But def get that truck leveled out, they look goofy factory raked.
@mkbmj

I should clarify. Most of the spacer lifts I see have a tapered bottom block, which looks like it follows the factory shape. This one looks like a bump stop spacer. I have no doubt that all of these have a place, but at first glance, it makes me a little queasy; probably because I do not have the same level of comfort with a lifted vehicle that you do. I have always used leaf springs and replacement coils. Like you, I do not want to put a $2,000 lift kit and have to go buy a ton of new parts when all I want to do is level it.
@unitedstatesofbuild4915
@unitedstatesofbuild4915 6 лет назад
Yeh I dont know about all that stuff, I do know that at 2:40 you can clearly see a taper on this spacer, I know its worked well so far. Thanks for the input!
