@@noobslayerxxx There's a thing called faraday cage which prevents you from getting affected by possible EMP strike. I don't know from US, but some countries uses them in their military defense systems, data centers etc so they wouldn't turn off in case of a terrorist attack etc. I like to think US probably have that covered.
The AC-130 is armed with a fearsome array of weaponry, including a 105 mm cannon and 25 or 40 mm gatling guns. The AC-130U employs a synthetic aperture strike radar for long-range and adverse weather target detection and identification. AC-130H/U Gunship | Military.com
@@hdogg21 what do you mean stupid af its was a movie meant to entertain you not teach your logic jeez infact i loves the action, if you bring logic here that ac-130 wouldnt be in the air in the first place
True because first of all the north koreans wouldn't have a chance to get in the U.S and second of all they wouldn't know how to fly it cause the north koreans only use old MiG 15's.
"Air Force One, we have news that a unauthorized AC-130 is 100 miles from Washington D.C. What should we do?" "Umm.....send of the fricken air force." "Ohhh....wait, it was just shot down 99.90 miles from Washington D.C. nevermind."
@@dodgy_jammer281 105 howitzer and 40 mm bofors aren’t shooting is bc it requires a load master and 5 aerial gunmen I think to fire all those I just named
Oh, good to see another fellow scriptwriter from the writers workshop is here on RU-vid. Missed you Bro. At least the catering was spot on, while on set....
For all those wondering... After snap shotting and zooming in on the last missile fired, it is clear that it's not a sidewinder missile. This also explains why the missile was not decoyed by flares.
@@validbutatwhatcost8754 1. AIM-120 is radar-guided ("Fox 3") 2. F-22 can carry six AIM-120 on the ventral hardpoint (side are for the AIM-9) and four AIM-120 on underwing hardpoint (two on each wing)
@@Barri2410 You’re correct on the bomb capacity now that I think about it. But this weapons system is modular and can be used with a laser guidance system to more manually target things.
@@validbutatwhatcost8754 its not modular, its active radar homing (it has an onboard radar), you're confusing it with a GBU-12 or a AGM-65 or some shit
@Shaquille Oatmeal Movie or not they do not do a job of suspending disbelief with this. Its awful. At least make something like "OUR RADAR SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN HACKED WE CANT TARGET IT!" Or some garbage.
Usually there would be a noac on standbys also and maybe an awacs but usually a plane wouldn’t even get that close to Washington so it doesn’t matter they would catch it on radar miles before and then send an awacs out before dispatching the plane
Sauce 5 lets take into account how many times los santos has had mass killings and terror across the gta5 map since it’s Lauch in both mp and single player
Inaccuracies, 1. It would be F-16s on intercepts because they are more manoeuvre able and also closer to DC (they’re based out of Andrews air base, F-22s aren’t posted there) 2. The AC-130 is incapable of having machine guns come out of panels like that, aim so precisely without a crew, the 2 air to air kills couldn’t of happened because the AC-130 only has machine guns on one side of the aircraft (however there is a continuity mistake, at first the raptors were on both sides but next scene and they’re on the same side) 3. For an intercept you usually form a weapons envelope 4. Once it was a known threat it would likely of been shot down by long range missiles, the raptor would not move in that close 5. Flares only work against Heat seeking missiles, heat seeking missiles cant be detected by the aircraft and can only be spotted by sight which means the danger indicator couldn’t exist.
@@josephtf3188 I’m not really an expert but the F-22 has thrust vectoring but the F-16 is a dedicated lightweight fighter which is renowned for manoeuvrability
@@JBRAI22 The raptor has higher max sustained turnrate (probably at a higher speed as well), a higher T/W ratio, and a lower minimum turn radius, and the modern f16Cs are a lot less maneuverable than the original f-16A block 15s

Yeah I’m a Canadian and I even know that is next to impossible. The White House has so much anti air it’s hilarious. They would fire more then just a few missiles. Movies always make the defenders seem so weak.......
@@theisgood0 Exactly! They don’t even allow most people to own a gun in dc THATS IN AMERICA. That thing would be obliterated almost instantly by AA, and if it wasn’t somehow then a fuckton of jets are about to swarm that bitch
i know the 9/11 attacks wasnt just the twin towers the pentagon was severely damaged and only that bad because there was a civilian who took over the plane not AA fire
"air support on the way" sends a single jet Edit: ok I am wrong and didn’t get the facts right that a single jet is good enough to take down an ac 130.
it's unrealistic because the ac-130 only has 1 minigun and a 100mm cannon or smth like that, and both of them are on the left of the aircraft, also it doesn't carry many flares and on some versions there are no flares at all
The markings “USAF” which stands for United State Air Force. Also why are there 2 gatling cannons on the side. Also lack of personnel. We only see 2 pilots and i am pretty sure the pilots were using fighter jet joy sticks. It is also missing its howitzer. The AC-130 would have been shot down by the F-22 because it has a 20mm gun so even if the missile didn’t work it would be most likely shot at its prop engine and would have had the same fate as the bombers in WW2
@@alonsomorales6973 yeah even then pilot can't operate side miniguns at that altitude, and if you're going to steal a AC130 might as well fully crew it
I love how preety much every piece of military documents and videos show the AC 130 operating with the 105mm cannon, the 40mm mgl and the 7.62 minigun all mounted on ONE SIDE of the fuselage. Plus you cant just retract them, as it would take alot of force and heavy machinery to conceal those. And even if, then what for? an AC 130 is meant to be used when the airspace is largely uncontested, so it wouldnt make sense to even hide them to avoid radar detection.
@@jeremyclarkson5548 Asides than a c130 would never fly so close to the ground because ya know aerodynamics get fuzzy with buildings nearby aaand its way safer to just do it thousands of feet up in the air
Can we realize that when the pilot of the c130 pressed some buttons he controlled the firing, like their isn’t a crew in the back managing the guns and shooting them Hollywood is so stupid
He's just got some sort of legendary effect or enchantment. Pretty cool imo, and handy if your a bad shot, but still useless against an AC-130. Unless the sniper also had an explosive rounds effect, would make sense why he kept shooting, he almost had a chance, but he's also a terrible shot...
I've never seen this movie but something tells me that the terrorists who got their hands on this flying death machine have probably never flown one before so I do not believe they worry about conventional usage of the aircraft...
You don’t press a button to shoot in the ac-130 and you need crew to launch the mini guns, the button I’m pretty sure is for allowing the command of shooting 😊
