In this video I show you how I removed my 2012-2016 Honda CRV center console. It does make it easier if you remove your front seats however it's not mandatory to do so. If you do not feel comfortable removing your seats please do not attempt to and just take your car to the mechanic and have them remove the console for you. If you are attempting to remove anything please disconnect your battery and leave it set disconnected for 30 minutes before doing anything and keep it disconnected throughout the entire repair until everything is completely reassembled. Hey, thanks for the insight, it helped us get through the process much quicker. I just bought my '16 LX, and what I found was quite different. Climate control ductwork was running through there as well, and it was anchored in a couple different spots. We had no problem removing the console because you gave us an idea of what we would encounter, and we were easily able to pull the console back and out without removing the seats.

I have a 2016 crc exl I need to replace heated seat switches they're in the console. How do I get to them. Just remove trim pieces?

FYI, you don’t need to remove the seats to get the console out. Push the console back into the rear seat and then lift it up and out. Plenty of room.

It helps if the passenger seat is all the way forward. That way as you pull the console rear, up, and passenger there is a little extra wiggle room.

Hello good job mine is a bit different I have the 2 buttons for the heater seats and the cigarette power does that panel have to be removed to access wire harness if so how to remove if you know ? Thanks, I am just trying to remove the lighter socket for replacement, or do I still have to remove whole console? Thanks

Personally I would recommend removing the console for ease of repair.

You don’t need to remove the whole console for your problem. Clean the tracks you can see on the top path of travel. If you remove the rear cover 3:15 you can access 90% of the hidden track. Get all the schmoo out of the track and you should be right as rain.

Hi friend i have one problem my honda crv 2014 after i shot down the car stuck on p and doesn't key go out and when i turn the ignition on again the p plinking like the light try to disappear what is this problem i need to solve it

If you are talking about the one that is inside of the console unfortunately you will need to remove the console. It's really not that hard of a task. You may be able to get away without removing the passenger seat but it will just be a little tight to do.

Hi there! You should be able to remove the sliding panel however you will need to fully remove the console most likely to access it.

So about the wire connectors inside the car that go into dash, can that be replaced?

So if you're talking about the harness that runs into the dash that's part of your dash wiring harness, you would most likely need to replace all of that. If you have a plug that is damaged, there is a chance that it could be depinned and then repinned into a new plug. But you would have to find a new plug to be able to repin it too.

Hi I came across your video because my child out a chocolate milk in my center counsel without my knowledge 🙃 and it exploded and now reeks. Some got under the river mat and into the holes underneath. I'm trying to find out how to get to that section underneath wear the bolts are. Can I access it after removing just that back panel?
