I actually had access to gm global connect. So the factory manual

I got mine from the dealership. I used to work there so got the hook up. But gmpartsgiant.com was about the price I paid. I hope this helps. Good luck

I'm not sure what you are meaning sorry. Are you trying to put the cam gear on the cam or line up the cams to do the timing?

I bought the timing kit but the disconbthe end of the cam seem to fit in different positions

The only proper way I know how to do so is like in the video. The special tools are needed

Yes. The timing tool will only fit on them if they are right. So there is two groves on the other end of the cams that one tool locks into. Then there is another tool that goes on the phasers. I hope this helped

@@dmwautomotive2291 sure did. I didnt use the tool for that part and is throwing a p0016 and p0017 code.. and i hear for what it seems a lifter not getting oil. Do you think this might be why

@@epena23 did you change your oil? Maybe something is clogged not allowing oil to be pumped to it. That's hard to tell with out actually seeing the car in person

@Ralf's Automotive Diagnostics & Repair sounds like you can do it how you want. I did it the right way. That's why it's still going strong, but thanks for your concern. I've done several head gaskets and NEVER put anything on them

@@ralfsautomotive Only if you're replacing the top part of the gasket, if you're replacing the whole gasket then you don't need any sealers

With the tools it is very easy. I don't remember having any trouble with the timing at all. Just fallow along what I did and you will be fine. Hope this video helps you

@@dmwautomotive2291 did you have any play in the timing chain while everything was at tdc..I have maybe 1/8 inch. I have not rotated the engine two full turns yet. I am asking because I think there has to be oil in the system to make tensioner work properly..any comments or helping would appreciate..thanks

@@randybolon688 I don't remember that much sorry. If I remember correctly you are right about the tensioner needing oil to properly tension the chain
