Yes it did!

Could be a number of things. Was the intake hose torn and that's why you replaced it? The MAF can cause bucking, but so can many other things including one that gets overlooked all the time and that is spark plugs. Depending on how many miles on your car, the spark plugs are only good for around 100 - 150K miles before the electrodes are worn and the gap is too large. This often gets overlooked. Is it throwing any codes, is the check engine light on? Might be good to check the codes if the engine light is on. Good luck!

@Roybwatchin Hey thanks for your reply, it was actually my sparkplugs. My intake hose was torn actually so i had to replace that. But my sparkplugs i got from Autozone just 3 months ago went kaput on me. I actually didn't look there initially because i had changed them a few months ago. But i got new ones and everything is fine now.

Yeah, I was a little worried about it since it was so cheap but mine is still holding up. I may end up having to replace it and if I do, I will definitely go back with a factory OEM hose. Thanks for the feedback.

@@Roybwatchin from the little research that I did, I see that this issue is kind of common among civics of this model and quite repetitive (in my case at least), I'm wondering if there's some kind of rubber "conditioner" that can be applied to the air intake hose before installing it that would prevent it from cracking or in the best case scenario prolong it's life? I think the culprit is it being near the throttle body and it just can't withstand the heat.

@@saad.485 I have wondered if the engine mounts could be worn enough to let the engine rock backwards every time you accelerate? If my tube wears out quickly, I will pop the hood and have my son put it in gear and gas the throttle while in drive with his foot on the brake. If the engine moves a lot, I will investigate the engine mounts. But, so far, mine is still holding up!

@@Roybwatchinengine mounts and prolong heat due to summers make the hose wear overtime. The passenger side top mount is another tear and wear mount and common in civics.

Yes. Did you read the description?

yes, absolutely fixed it.

Also check the lower motor mount. Mine was broken leading to excessive movement when the motor is under load to move.
