What was the mileage on the one you bought? I’m looking at one now with 115,000 . Is it really reliable? Would you recommend it

Ali Abdoo it had 34,100, and yea it is reliable and it’s good for gas and runs smoothly. If it’s hybrid there’s only a bad thing that if the parts go bad they’re a bit expensive

Hey question. I just got mine couple days ago when you drive on the freeways is it kind of noisy like clunky is that due to the suspension or the kind of tires?

I dunno. I switched to Hyundai about ten years ago. They make great, reliable vehicles. Best warranty in the business. I just purchased the '12 Sonata Hybrid and I couldn't be happier!

I love my Hyundai, and my wife wants one for her next car. I'm getting 39 MPG in my GLS when driving all Highway. Got to Atlantic City from Canton, Oh without refilling, then got over a quarter of the way back before needing to fill up.

Yeah but this is more stylish than that ugly dorky looking prius who wants to that ugly looking piece of garbage at least with the Hyundai sonata it's more stylish and they said if you treat it and baby it like a hybrid and don't floor it at stop sings and traffic lights you get very very good fuel economy rating so I'm getting this car and can't wait to get it I look forward to getting it

I have it its a good car quiet engine but the rated mpg only for highway I live in mountains area so ave I get is 29mpg still much better than regular used to have KIA optima 2010 all I got was 17mpg on level ground!!

I used to have KIA optima 2010 in heavy city driving in summer with ac I get about 16.5 miles /gal now Hyundai sonata hybrid I get 45 on highway trip but combined heavy city and short trips about 28-30

They used the 2011 Sonata Hybrid in that article; not the 2012. Also, car manufacturers can't lie about MPG numbers because they're tested by a third-party source - in this case, the government branch called the Environmental Protection Agency.

Well, not to split hairs, but for about $10,000. less, you can get the smaller (but not too much smaller) Hyundai Elantra which also gets 40 miles to the gallon on the highway. Jeff Glucker said that as small as the car looks, there is actually a good amount of room inside. And if you want to spend $26,000.-$32,000. for your car, you can get the Toyota Prius which gives you a really impressive 50 miles to the gallon IN COMBINED DRIVING.

"they can tell the world that their car is different". I'm not sure about the majority, but why would I want to go "I'm broke every end of the month so I need a hybrid, y'all!!!" The only thing I like about hybrid is the gas consuming. I cant say I'm an environmentalist, but if that comes in as a package, why not?

its funny all these people talking about the prius. that car is like driving a vagina. Prius is a small loud flighty car . Sonata is a full size great riding , exciting car. I just bought 2015 and love it . not to mention it is 2 plus seconds quicker zero to 60 then the Toyota vagina. so far 46mpg in city .

translation: claim of 20% better fuel economy for an Imperial gallon available only in Britain??? really a 20% bigger gallon?? the liter is also bigger than the US quart...I don't get 40mpg but I get 12+km/Lx4.54 Imp= 54.5km/gal /1.61km/mile=33.85mpg(Imperial) or 8.33L/100km

Went for Test drive funny thing was the car had 16miles and it stopped right after we left dealership, The sale person had to call towing company to get it towed back to dealership. So sonata thanks for giving me the heads up. I went to next dealership and bought another brand which is wayyyyyyyy better then sonata. Hyundai is New in market and targeting for what people like but they are not reliable cars. If you like look go with Hyundai and if you want reliability then pick another brands

I come up with 43.1 mpg Imperial equivalent of 5.9L/100km and 36.6 mi/4L and so still a bit less per US gallon than claimed; still a difference of 6mpg is more than I would have guessed between the old Canadian system I used and the US mileage

he forgot one other option, consumer has is the 2001-2003 toyota prius classic, which can easily get 45 mpg and above. Personally, I actually like the cvt better than "real" transmission. My brother's 400k miles classic prius still running on its original cvt, and still as smooth as my other priuses. I really doubt any "real" transmission can be that smooth after 400k miles.

I have a Sonata Hybrid 2011 and I’m not happy at all. 1. Poor mileage 22 - 28mpg (EPA city/ hwy 35/40mpg) not even close to EPA. 2. NAV/Sound Poor quality build: Bluetooth problem, NAV off like 3mil. All Hyundai can do is LIED. I have taken the car to the dealer like 10 times still have the same problem; I gave up on Hyundai car.
