Starting to have rust issues on a 2012 Chev Impala doors and rocker panels. I show my attempt to mitigate the problem with POR 15 and oil in the channels and on the car frame.

Sure looks like that car was designed to fail sooner than later. Good job correcting the issues. Happy trails.

Thankfully these issues don't cause structural instability at this point, but yeah. These cars were almost intentionally designed to rust out.

The problem is water actually gets inside the door and rust from the inside out have you checked inside the door..

That's right. Window seals let water into the door every time it rains. They are designed to let the water in

as soon as i got my impala and noticed that rubber seal was holding water, i removed that rubber seal.
