This weekend I went to the Indy 500. I've been a number of times now, but this time I decided to record parts of the race. Enjoy :) Subscribe to my main channel: / thatordinarybeast twitter: / ordinarybeast
There's nothing like the last parade lap as they past by slowly, then the incredible minute of anticipation as they fly past at full speed on the first lap
yeah the Indy 500 holds 300k people in the grandstands alone, much less all the people you see in the infield. About 500k people attend this race each year pretty crazy
Man, I don't know how ya'll handled the heat that day...I was one of the lucky ones on the front stretch w/some shade...and even I went through 8 liters of water....Crazy hot.
I know this is a old video but I noticed that I sat INSANELY close to where you are seated in this. My family always sits in the 3rd turn for the race, and will be doing so again next week.
I was at that race on the final turn into the straightway to the finish line, it was my first indy500 ever and I loved it!! I wanted Sato to win so bad!!
Ultimate go cart. I wasn't there but damn, I can feel the intensity. Gotta go to one of these indy 500 races. I don't understand, does the seat get more expensive the higher you sit?
I think it's that we all don't like Dario because he has won this race many times, and Sato had the best chance of beating him. And that pass on the lap before he crashed was epic the stands were going crazy!
I so much prefer to watch fan video than the TV feed! This is great. I know this is NE VISTA, but what section is this? I'm in section 12, row Q for 17 years now and this looks like my seats, but higher up.
I wouldn't say there's a hatred for Dario here in the states. I think everyone's disappointment and frustration was that he had already won twice before. Americans love a good underdog story, and Sato was definitely that. As for the block, its dirtiness is debatable. In my opinion, it was not dirty. Dario took a defensive line, and yes, he squeezed Sato into the turn, but they never touched. Sato made a very aggressive move and simply went in too hard. I wouldn't blame either side.
