2012 Infiniti G25 AWD 0-60 MPH High Altitude Colorado Review 

Nobody needs a turbo, even at high altitude. They're just nice to have :p. Even with the little v-6 the Infiniti is still a nice car.

I'd usually take the Infiniti G37 because of the engine -- a 3.7L V6. It's also a BMW 3-Series best competition as well as the Audi A4.

I love the Fiat model in your intro she's totally beautiful! This was an interesting review for me because I've always wondered what kind of performance difference there is at high altitudes. I live in a low altitude area; as a matter of fact the highest point where live is only 818 feet. I really want to know what you guys think about AWD vs FWD and RWD. A lot of manufactures are catching up to Subaru and adding AWD options to their lineup. I think thats great but then we have hard winters here

@madant1977 Yep. We played with the TDI in one of our recent videos and found it to be a damn fine car. High altitude did not bother it too much and it was very comfortable.

Whenever Nathan does 0-60s, his number are always WAY off lol

@SaMaster18 12.7 seconds was at over 5,000 feet - which cost the G25 about 15% of its power.

@gilldoom The Nissan Altima has nothing to do with the Infiniti G series. They ride on different chassis and architectures

@yellowcow13 Yea. Don't get used to it. We're about to play with one of my favorites - the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8... which is more of what I like.

Never thought it would be that much of a difference going higher. That's pretty cool actually haha the car and its the 3.7 that's around 40 guys I got my g37 for 41k .. The g25 start around 30 thousand.

@yellowcow13 They are all pretty good, but I like the Acura TSX for performance, it has more of an edge.

I wish they made an AWD G20t.

For being a car guy, I had no idea about altitude affecting car performance THAT much. Damn. I have always loved infinitis, even without a Turbo or anything. They just look good inside and out. Except the big one. That thing is ugly.

@lightning608cp i know that , but if you looking for car in this segment, speed should not a top reason for your shopping right?! i drove both of them , and i am an infiniti owner, you better to buy G37 OR G35 rather than is350, no kidding, the g25 is not really a fun car to drive .

altitude = a normally aspirated car's worst nightmare.

Not scientific, but this does illustrate the effects of high elevation. I live at 500 feet above sea level and see a big loss in power when I go up to 3000 feet. In 1997, my family traveled to SW Colorado in my dad's 89 F150 towing about 3000 lbs of trailer. Going up US 550, there were places where we couldnt accelerate past 10 mph. 0-60? Nope!

all these acceleration tests are increidbly slower than what every other test says. i noticed that a lot of them are on inclines and timed using an iphone. try getting a flat surfact, brake torquing the engine, and getting acceleration data from a professional vbox recorder

No, they were at higher altitude already. Sealevel G25 is 7.5.

Wait... the car did 12.7 seconds 0-60 at normal altitude??? that's extremely slow. The G37 will do it in 5.4ish... how can the G25 be THAT much slower...?

I live at sea level so I suppose this means nothing to me lol. I guess if you really liked the car you can turbo charge it, though im not sure why you would bother.

12,7?! :/ Holy cripes, I love Infiniti, but that is really slow even at that altitude. A manual transmission small turbo car could do that easily!

Why are you expecting the Infiniti G25 to be fast at all? o.0 You know they make a G37 for that. I'm here from 10 yrs in the future to tell you. It's pretty quick :)

G25.....I felt that the G35 was a POS when the G37 came out and now theres a G25
