Titled part 5 and a half because I'm still debating on what to do with the rear axle situation. Thank you all for subscribing, commenting, sharing and liking my videos! I truly do appreciate you all!
Some things to take away from this video - 1. I think this guy is hiding a lot of his skills 2. My Liberty will never be a work of art like this one will be 3. He does not brag on himself as a lot do 4. He knows how to teach 5. He's leaving us hanging at the end of the video! 6. I can't wait for the next video! 7. This is a long video - which I like, some may not!
Thank you! To address #2, I’m doing these videos so someone can make their Liberty like mine! I do my best at teaching. I edited a lot out of this video because it was originally over an hour long. Also #5, I didn’t want to leave anyone hanging, just being honest at where I was at scratching my head!
@@millwright15 I would've watched the hour long version. As for me making my Liberty like yours, I unfortunately do not have the time or the money. So, I will absolutely enjoy watching you build this one! Keep the camera and videos rolling!
The old budgit hoist with roller chain brought back some old memories of the saw shop where I used to work. Used it to lift massive saw blades. One of the best shop cranes there is! Keep the videos coming please.
What’s crazy is, this one came out of a shop that used it to lift knife blades into a big jig to be sharpened for a big chipper head. These must’ve been the go-to hoist for saw shops!
Crazy as in getting carried away with the build? Or crazy long? Cause I feel the video was a little too long, I cut the original edit down to this. It WAS about an hour long!
we have a 2010 liberty same color and we did a 3 inch lift with 33's it doesnt do to bad at gladetop in missouri ,but after seeing what your doing I like that.. keep the videos coming!!
Thank you! Yeah, this one got a little out of hand! I want to find another one and do a 2 to 3 inch lift on 31’s for a daily driver. I’ll definitely keep the videos coming as I progress!
I'd say keep the KK axle, we are all so invested in it now. Get shorter lower control arms or move the mounting point on the body a bit forward. All the best!
Awesome! I just got my basic 2.5 skyjacker lift and I'm loving my liberty now! It ended up lifting it 4 inches because how worn the stock suspension was!
I got it around 68000 MI one owner it's now at 120,000 and this thing is my daily driver and I wheel it mostly trail riding but I'm getting some sticky place and every once in awhile she just keeps going they're still stickers on the factory parts some of them under the front end it's rust free I think I just got lucky and got a good one finding Rust free in New England is almost impossible but it still rust free a car wash here and there during the winter time cleaning underneath it's so easy to do that's all I do and I never have rust unless the car had rust when I already bought it
Looking forward to seeing what you get done. I had the JK front with a trans x member/link mounts fabbed up for my wife’s Liberty, then the transmission blew and a few other odds and ends needed repair around the farm so sold it all to pay down that junk, don’t think the fellow that bought it ended up putting anything together.
Been getting ready to start working on the front, my main job is my major hold up. 12 and 16 hour days are rough! It’s a shame you put all that work in yours and the next guy didn’t do anything with it. Unfortunately, I’ve been there before on projects. Sometimes you just have to cut things lose and move forward!
Our kk will be next just waiting to see what all u run into. I really wanted to put 35s on it like it is and see how she dose .I trimmed a bit . Almost got everything to swap out axles but really want to know how the suspension you gathered works .
Great call on the decision to relocate the LCA mounts👌🏼 First thing I noticed they were sticking out and would get lots of trail rash and possible damage. Great effort on the KK Rear Axle! 👌🏼 Doesn’t seem a rear JK axle would be any much different at this point. Looking forward to the next video! 👌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Just get new adjustable lower control arms and move the brackets around to the front of the axle and you will be fine 👍 i call dibs on the 8 1/4 rear diff cover when ya put the rubicon axel in it 👍😂
Woo man, sorry for the very late reply! Been busy working on the thing! Found a solution for the rear axle and already have 90% of what I need for the front axle swap!
Just so happened I’m out in the garage, so I decided to find out. Looks like from the inside of the Jeep (obviously) on the back hatch there’s a small half moon looking piece that you need to remove. It’s about half the size of a pool ball. After that, insert a flat blade of Phillips head screw driver and turn it until the lock pops open.
