2012 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 ride Review 

yes great sound, I had three of these at one time to review, it was hard to decide which bike sounded better............they were all so good!

@@TRCAdventures do you still own it? Does it burn oil or any other issues?

@@jerryx2000 I no longer have the bike,, I had three at the time , one had 30k miles on it I don't recall any of them using oil.

yes good ride, though I'm left with that Russian rootlet feeling each time, cars and some bikes seem to forget they should keep to one lane~ still if you want 100 miles of twistiest this is a great out and back to mt Hamilton

Great question, simple answer the zx14R! This does not mean I would not take the 1050 on a long ride, or road trip, but definitely given the choice I would take the ZX14R, it's more comfortable has more room to stretch out and is super smooth all day long

Agreed on the ZX14. I toured half of the states in a ZX12R. Comparible in comfort and all. I have a 2013 speed triple now. The lack of full faring protection is the biggest (wind ha) drag. The stock ninja screen deflect in rain nicely even. And the extra weight smooths out bad roads better. My 05 hayabusa...same thing. Awesome tourer with aftermarket bars. My first highway trip on the 1050 was brutal after being spoiled by those other two.
