I did it! Turns out the flex head ratchet was too big to fit over the bolt with the socket so I just used a small ratchet with the 12mm socket which fulfilled its purpose. And to disconnect the other end of the old sensor i used a small flathead to lift over the lock tap for anyone who is curious about that. Thanks for helping me save money!
I just did this on my son’s car and completed it in about 45 minutes. The ratchet with the socket was a little too big. I used a 12mm ratcheting wrench to do the job. Also, I used ramps to give me plenty of room under the car. Thanks for this video, it definitely made this job easier to accomplish!
I had a P0326 for knock sensor on 2012 Hyundai Veloster. Just changed the Knock sensor and check engine still on. Will drive to get it reset. Pretty easy to change took about 20 minutes.
Thank you so much for this video, just finished my 2012 Veloster base model in about 30 min. It did get rid of the permanent knock sensor code and it runs better. Again thanks for this video as it would have been tedious to do it the other way.
Weird.. I just got the knock sensor code and my veloster just hit 98500 miles and I see yours is about the same. I wonder if they coded something into the ecu to make it do this.
