just wanna pop in and say i love my commander too, ive owned yamaha twolf, yamaha yfz, bomb traxtor, yamaha rhino, yamaha wolverine, polaris sportsman(worst one), can am outty, and now commander. i like it for all it can do for me, i like to work hard and play hard, nothing better for a guy like me!!

It consists of alot of rotting and dead plant material, it's like a peat bog or peat moss that you buy at the local Greenhouse. Also it can be a floating mat of grass and vegetation about a foot thick, once you break through the crust you are usually done for...lol

I run 28" Radial Outlaws, more of an all terrain tire, but they ride smooth

My Commander is stock exhaust, I have always had great luck with HMF though

Look at Maxxis Zilla's, Outlaw Radials and ITP Mega Mayhems, all in 28" size, these are considered the best all around tires that can still mud decent

The 900 will outperform the Commander on the trails as the Commander is a dual purpose utv built for both work and play in mind,ie dumpbox. But the Can-am Maverick is the top of the heap right now in terms of performance. Having said that the 900xp is a great machine and you would be more then happy with either

Great vids!! Keep up the good work. Can't beat ripping around in the skeg here in Canada!! Hope to get some vids up of my own this summer. Building a 13 Commander 1000 Limited. Just put on a 2.5 Super ATV lift, 29.5x11x14 Outlaw2's with 2inch spacers. Have HMF outside frame mount dual exaust coming along with programmer and Blingstar doors. And working on a custom snorkel. I Can't wait for mud season here in Alberta!!!! Keep Riding hard playing safe and protecting our Canadian trails.

If you want to mud it or love power then yes, if you are mostly using it for cruising and work then no as the 800 will do that great

The Canam 1000 is rated at 82hp in the Quads and 85hp in the Commanders and the Cat is 69hp

Sir, by all means I understand willys struggle along the narrow paths we all are accustomed too these days during our adventures. I have seen a modified crazy Willy's jeep in the Russian federation while I myself have a love hate relationship with these so called "little dears" having owned one earlier this year finding it as hideous as jackets in a snorkel - jokes aside. In my opinion I would say that Can-am XMR meets all my current needs as a replacement - no competition - hear hear.

I have taken my unsnorkeled Polaris Sportsman 500 in much deeper water then that with no problems, he must have had a serious leak in his cvt case

Hey osta! I love your videos and have even been on some same ones as you! I think you should make a custom helmet with ostacruiser writen on the side! As i see the same helmet in most of your videos a custom helmet for your quadding pasion would be sweet! Maybe can-am on one side and ostacruiser on the other! Just some thoughts i think would look awesome!

The rzr can still be worked. My dad uses his to haul things and tow things. And I'd say they are nicer.

I have a honda rancher 420. yes I do ride. My cousin has the polaris 700 or 750 whatever it is and he went into a river and the belt got wet and the thing literally wouldn't move. I had to winch it out of a foot of water

can am knows how to make their machines sound good right from the factory!

I just had all my plastics off today and checked her out good...no cracks anywhere...must have been a bad bunch of frames cause we beat the crap out of our machines....if any were going to crack you think it would be ours...

lmao...his winch quit in the hole before so we pushed him out by hand....lol

You will never get your belt wet with proper snorkels, and if your machine is clutched properly you will also have no trouble with hills

I'd definetley buy a rzr they are more sporty and faster. They also handle better and have better stability as far as I'm concerned. Its opinion though!

Did you see the red rzr (the one with good tires) hammer through that stuff like it was nothing? The other rzr's were on stock tires (big horns) which are great for normal trails, but not for trails like that.

i agree with allenan1234, Polaris makes the best SxS for sure. the Teryx are nice but just don't compare.

thats why they snorkel them, as long as you keep the snorkels out of the water the belt doesn't get wet. If you don't want a machine with power then keep ridin honda and have fun with the three wheel drive. cvt=MORE POWER.

Osta Awesome videos man. Think I have watch just about all of them. Was wanting to know being your have the can am commander does it perform just as well as the 900 rzr? I was looking into getting one or the other being my fiance doesn't trust my riding on my atv and was wanting her to come out !

Yes but my Commander had 28" Outlaw Radials, I think is what he was getting at

the willys is tiny and probably very close to the size of a rzr xp --willys is 60" wide if I remember correctly -- how wide is an xp? but the willys is a bit heavyer then a sxs and dosent have the suspension of a sxs (Just cant go as fast without getting thrown out lol), ----The jeep can be made to go more places then a sxs but is just a big unit to haul around especaily if you get stuck without other trucks around, To each their own --have fun :^)

We ride with a teryx and a rzr the rzr does way better than the teryx, actually the rzr we ride with is the one from 1:13-1:22 ( the one not stuck)

ok iv read alot about people with cracked frames on the gn2 frames and was woundering if any of yalls frames have cracked

for sport riding which do you think is better, wildcat 1000,commander 1000, or rzr xp 900? For mudding only which do you think is better?

Just bought a 2013 can-am outlander, and i want different tires mostly trail riding with the occasional water and mud hole (or what ever happens to get in the way) do you have any recommendations ?

Mud tires in that one 900 and he would have been fine.

How do the rzr's hold up?

if they had direct drive and not cvt, i'd buy one tomorrow. get that belt wet or try to hillclimb, it slips and you'd be better off on a bicycle.

Do you like your tires

They are a little better in performance but it is not as nice and useful as the Commander and the Commander can be easily upgraded to be better than the RZR.
