I daily a 2018 hellcat challenger widebody. Having owned both the 2010 and 2013 2.0T genesis coupes, I do miss my white 2013 with the white interior. KN airbox for the turbo sound and carbon fiber/mesh vents to make the hood vents real. Motegi mr126 for my wheels with nitto neo gens to make it handle like a scalpel. I would buy a used one if I could find one under 30k miles. It was a special car. Especially with genesis these days going full lux and hyundia discontinuing the veloster and elantra coupes.
I just traded in my 2013 gen coupe. Fun car to drive. Mine was a 2.0T 6 speed manual. You do stick to your seat. Draw backs where leaky tail light gaskets which left me with a flooded spare tire compartment. It is a pain in the ass to replace headlights/side marker lights. The windshield washer spray nozzles blew out the centres causing them to belch washer fluid. Then I became a dad and the vehicle wasn't doing it for my family.
Congrats on the family thing. How long did you have your 2013 and did you have to put a lot of maintenance / repair money on it ? I might be buying one this wednesday ! (manual too)
2014 premium owner right here 🙋♂️ The car is so fun to own and looks amazing . So many different mods to do. A tune is a must have. Opens the car up so much.
@@Zero-zh4uj i use to have a génesis but with black interior and had heated seats! But I had an ultimate which came with the heated seats but it’s been a while so I forgot
I know this is old now but I am considering this over the 3.8 both 2013s. I wanted the 3.8 cause of power difference vs 2.0 but I kind of want a fun little turbo car instead. Anyways, I know you can use 87 in the 3.8 and it does fine. Curious if the 2.0 can handle 87 only except when I want to track or “hoon” around... since it will be my daily car?
Thinking of getting one tomorrow with a salvaged title, it was well maintained from carfax but the past damage worries me. 2013 Genesis 2.0 coupe107k miles for 8k$
@@jeanpg900 I wouldn’t say never I once bought a 2013 Kia Optima fully loaded that was salvage and kept it for 6 good years with no problems. It’s definitely a risk but not always a scam
I was looking to buy the exact model its selling at $14,000 with about 30,000 miles for a 7 year car do you think the price is good? Also are these cars high maintenance? If you or anyone knows
I have a 2011 Mitsubishi lancer es 2.0L automatic stock with 44k miles. I'm really thinking of getting a 2013 genesis coupe 2.0t automatic. is this a reliable car? did you buy it ?
I didn’t buy it no. After driving it a bit more I found the lag and boost cycles to be underwhelming. Also I fit better in my Grand Prix so I haven’t upgraded yet. I think this vehicle would be a fantastic upgrade from a lancer. Would be a lot more fun to drive with more power and nicer equipment! Not sure about reliability, going to have to check the Hyundai forums.
Hi Angel - I bought my 2013 Genesis Coupe as a FLOOD SALVAGE for $11.5k - It had 26,000 miles on it. I am at 93,000 miles now. I've taken her on roadtrips from Dallas to El Paso and back and literally have had NO issues. The ONLY thing I have paid for are regular maintenance and oil changes and necesssary repairs after mistakes that I made. The car had been lowered by the previous owner so in the time I have had it, I had to take her to a muffler shop once because something in the Aftermarket resonator (Which had been put on by the prior owner) was rattling (Likely due to the exhaust getting hit from bottoming out. Then this weekend I replaced my primary catalytic converter which had gone bad like 10,000 miles ago. So from 26k to 93k miles I have had literally not a single issue except for the catalytic converter, which, probably was a result of the car being flooded at one point. Very reliable. Very fun when you're on it. Quiet when you're chilling. Good gas mileage when driving highway in 8th gear. HIGHLY recommend this vehicle.

My buddy had a g37x sedan and it was pretty awesome and had lots of power. Personally I wish the 2.0 turbo in the Hyundai had more power, too much turbo lag for me. I haven’t driven the 3.8 genesis coupe so it’s hard to say how they compare to the 3.7 in the INFINITI. Based on what I do know about these 2 vehicles I would say go with the g37x because AWD and lots of power. And they sound amazing straight piped too
My guys, I need ya help. I’m in the process of getting a new whip, my choices are, g37s, genesis coupe, Acura TL, Nissan Maxima, Nissan 370z, Brz and a lancer evo... asap !
I just bought a Infiniti G37x sedan not too long ago and I haven’t been disappointed. Your options all sound pretty decent, should be good no matter which you go with. But I wouldn’t shy away from the G, fun car
I have a 2011 corolla right now (bought it as my first car 3 months ago, I'm 18) I decided to go with a safe choice. I'm debating on getting a 2013 2.0T Genesis coupe, 53k km. I'm just scared about the reliability
Israel Cardoso its a fun and good car overall and easy to work on. It’s like a car you will hate but love at same time. My biggest things I hate about it is the amount of noises it makes, everything rattles and vibrates and clunks after hitting a few pot holes. The engine is pretty solid though but the manual transmissions suck. 8 speed auto is a lot better.
Israel Cardoso also to save you thousands of dollars, when you go to see a genesis first thing you do is look under the car and make sure it has a blue oem filter. Anything else walk away especially if it’s an orange fram. I spun a rod using fram
V6 will blow up and doesn't even really have 349..i got bk2 2.0t their awesome engines bulletproof with light mod lasts forever very reliable.. Stage 1.5 will beat 3.8 no problem
If you live in a busy city having a manual would get annoying hella fast. I’d rather stick to auto. Plus auto transmissions are so advanced now I’ve heard automatics can beat manuals in a race.
