The hose is secured to the car body. Mine shrunk and pulled off the nipple of the gutter. Water was running down the A- pillar and dripping on the floor, driver side. I plugged the hole and let the passenger side take care of it. It worked for me.
I was fortunate enough that both hoses were still attached. I watched when the water was added and it drained down behind the fender well on each side. Glad you got yours fixed! It is a pain.
So from my understanding is the drain hose wasn't clogged, it just had a plug connected to the end of the drain. So that means all you need to do is remove that factory plug on the drain hose and no issues.
We were having only the leaking problem tilted the sunroof and now we cannot close it. Any suggestions, dealership wants to replace motor...lights work, no erosion on wiring. Cannot afford expensive fix at dealership. 2014 Lincoln MKS
I can't answer this as I haven't had to tear into the motor on mine and would need to see it to make a judgmental diagnosis. It would be worth going to another shop for a second opinion if possible. Good luck.
