2014-2021 LEXUS GX | Wired Apple CarPlay Android Auto | Installation 

Ordered this as soon as they became available again, got it yesterday, and installed it today. I was given a free wireless Android Auto upgrade after purchasing :) Yes the price is steep BUT by following the incredibly detailed and thorough install video you can easily do this yourself and save a MINIMUM of $250 to an install shop. My advice, take your time and work carefully. I had the install video on a tablet in the garage with me. Yes it's expensive but once it's installed it is worth every penny. Works exactly as advertised. No better way to straightforward upgrade the head unit in your GX460.

Hmm guess my comment didn't post last night. I was wondering, did this unit have a built in GPS or is it using the car's? What happens when you have a nav app open and you get a call? I saw you mentioned that the voice activate button does not work on the steering wheel but have to use the touch screen. What about the pickup and hangup buttons above that voice activate button? Is the car microphone used or is there a separate one for this unit? The video made it seem like the cars but I wanted to verify. How are software updates handled? Does it update with the phone or microsd or what? I'm an engineer, ask a lot of questions, people get mad, sorry in advance 😅

How is the audio cable incorporated, and it’s purpose in the system? My concern is losing audio quality on my mark Levinson when using car play (which I would intend to do all the time). A 1.5mm audio Jack does not give me the warm and fuzzy that I keep all ML quality.

I have an issue on my 2015 Lexus GX460 navigation system where it tries too load but doesn’t turn on just gives me a black screen. If I were to install your product will it fix my problem where it will work again

i installed it and had no issues then my factory navi was having gps issues, doesent work and when i use car play it was only half screen, i took it apart and didnt mess with it for a month and i just installed the beatssonic again and works i hope no issues i checked the wires make sure no issues nothing was unpluged
